·"Great overall cigar. The flavors were there from beginning to end but they were all varying at the different stages. My biggest complaint is that the ash would fall off for no reason making a bit of a mess. " -Alan (Eulogy)

·"It's hard for me to assign a top rating to any cigar, and I try to reserve the highest mark for something really wondrous. This is about as close to cigar perfection for me as I can imagine. Big bold flavors with a lot of strength. Packs a punch but the potency was never over the top and the overall balance between strength and flavor was really thoroughly impressive. " -John I. ·"This is a good cigar, no doubt about it. A rich and flavorful cigar that would be great for after dessert. A smoke bomb that has good complexity and flavor changes." -Jack (Jack_H)
Today, Black Label Trading Co. (BLTC) announced a new retail event exclusive: Santa Muerte Barrio Santo. The is a twist on the original Santa Muerte blend with a Ecuador maduro wrapper replacing the Ecuadorian habano normally found on it. Santa Muerte Barrio Santo is rolled at James Brown's Fabrica Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua. It will be only available at select BLTC retailer events.
“This is a cigar I would smoke any day of the week. It’s malty chocolate like sweetness really hit the spot. The giant plumes of smoke from the looser draw were quite enticing as well. The only thing I can hold against this one was that it had a very similar flavor profile throughout, however don’t let that stop you from trying one at all, especially if it is priced right!” –John A. ·"The flavors had a few transitions, and those flavors were good, but nothing exceptional. I could see this being something to reach for when in the mood for that woody/char experience. If others experienced a better draw, then I could see this being something to smoke on occasion." -Aaron (aaron7
Overall I really enjoyed this smoke, although I do feel it was a bit young and/or needed more rest from its journey from the Dominican Republic, to Las Vegas, to Denver. I really enjoyed the flavors of the second third with the toast and coffee.
