·“This is a cigar that I would gladly smoke again. While the flavors may not have gone through a roller coaster of transitions, they were consistent and well balanced. The retrohale was not bitter or harsh, and really complimented the flavors on the palate. It burned well and produced great smoke. I look forward to finding out about this cigar.” –Matthew T. Full disclosure... I have been a member of Cigar Dojo for a few years now. As a result of my time on the Dojo app, I have made some great friends and learned a lot about this hobby that we all love so much. When the original Sarsaparilla cigar was released in the Fall of 2014, I was excited to try it because I was already a big fan of the cigars coming out of the La Zona factory from Erik Espinosa. The original Sarsaparilla cigar proved to be another winner, and I still consider that to be one of the best cigars to have ever been crafted at La Zona.
"Aside from a couple minor touch-ups, the burn was good throughout. Considering how oily the wrapper was, that was pretty impressive. The ash was somewhat flaky, but it's a lancero so that was expected." -Matthew T. (A Huge Nerd)

·“Part of the joy of a blind review is finding out later what it is I was smoking. Well, I am very excited to find out on this one because I may be buying a box. The flavor and aroma combination was fantastic and interesting. The burn was incredible. The smoke output was HUGE. If it is a cigar in my price range, I will be stocking up.” –Matthew T. "A truly flavorful cigar that delivers. I want to buy a box as soon as I find out what this cigar was." -Barry (Barry2Guys)
To celebrate the milestone of 10 years for El Primer Mundo Cigars, Sean Williams introduced the EPM 10 Year Anniversary cigar. It was released in June of 2016 and will be available at a very select group of retailers by invitation only. The cigar features a Rosado wrapper from Nicaragua, San Vicente binder, and Ligero Criollo, Ligero Negrito, and Corojo 2006 filler. It it made at the De Los Reyes SA factory in Dominican Republic. The EPM 10 Year is available in three vitolas. A 6x54 (MSRP $9.75) Toro, 5x50 Robusto (MSRP $8.75), and 5.5x42 Corona (MSRP $8.50). The cigar sampled for this review was the Toro vitola.

"The first two thirds showed some promise, although a bit one dimensional. The creamy leather and oak combination was very enjoyable. The final third, however, was my samples unraveling. A harsh cedar and tight draw almost had me tossing this one. Based on other reviewers experiences, this might be a candidate for the golf course." -Gregg (McGreggor57)

·"I really enjoyed this cigar and would very much so enjoy to be able to experience this premium cigar offering again. While not being the most complex cigar it provided great flavors throughout. The retro was where this blend is at with the pepper, cream, cedar and floral notes. Finish was clean AF. The petite robusto vitola is a favorite of mine and would work great in colder climates. Pick up this cigar and smoke it because Momma always said, "what is here today could be gone tomorrow." Applause." -Matt C. (Big Matt)
