Dapper Cigar Co has announced a third release for IPCPR later this week, the El Borracho Maduro (Broadleaf). The original El Borracho Maduro used a San Andrés whereas this one will use a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. The original blend was used as a starting point but was amped up in strength by adding more Nicaraguan Ligero from Oliva Tobacco's prized La Joya farm. This new line is scheduled to be available November.
Imagine a car enthusiast having an opportunity to tour the Ferrari factory in Maranello, or someone who is a collector of fine watches going to visit Patek Philippe in Geneva. The chance to actually see your favorite products being constructed by hand can be a real treat for the senses, and it can also give a heightened respect for the work that goes into creating these items that we love so much. For premium cigar lovers the products that we consume are some of the most artfully and painstakingly crafted products in the world. Still, so many cigar lovers still don't have the first-hand experience of seeing what goes into growing fine tobacco and crafting great cigars. During Puro Sabor 2018 I was able to visit a number of cigar factories, large and small. In this second article of the series about the festival I will take you through these factories in the same order that I visited them.

·"This was a cigar that fired on all cylinders for me. Once I paired it with a very rich stout, it really came into its own and was a superb cap to my evening. I have absolutely nothing to criticize with this sample. It would be my honor to personally thank the blender and roller of this super premium cigar. This will find a home in my rotation if I can find more!" -Jason H. (Jokey Smurf)

·"Overall, I did enjoy this cigar, but I'm not sure I would seek more. It was just a little boring and mild for my taste. Given the notes of toast, leather, spice and green color, I'm pretty sure this was a Cameroon wrapper, but not my favorite by any means. I would smoke another, but don't think I would buy one." -Emmett (rhetorik)
"I enjoyed this cigar. Plenty of flavors to keep my attention with cream, pepper, leather, wood, nuts and some licorice. Cigar was a medium in strength. I would definitely smoke this again. " -Mickey T. (irratebass)
Translated to English, Siempre means "Always. This is what Dapper Cigar Company wants to be known for, is always crafting world-class cigars. Our blind reviews of the La Madrina and El Borracho from Dapper scored very well from our panelists. The latest cigar from Dapper will be unveiled at the 2018 IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas. The Siempre Sun Grown uses a lush Sumatran Oscuro wrapper complimented by a rich combination of other tobaccos, the Siempre Sun Grown cigar is made to provide a sophisticated smoking experience.
"This cigar was great in my opinion. A well-built cigar that was very easy to work with. Simple cut, light, and smoke made this cigar very nice. The flavor profile was delicious. There was not a lot of complexity, but the overall smoke and aroma was absolutely pleasant. If I could make one suggestion, I would say to pre-cut the cigar and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. This will allow an ample amount of rest time and will get the remainder of the harshness out of it, so that it will burn and taste great all the way through. Enjoy these, they are worth the buy." -Steve (ThaGreatWazoo)

·"This cigar offered some nice rich flavors while allowing a near perfect balance of more delicate ones to shine. The yeastiness of fresh bread with some occasional chocolate, coffee and baking spices kept the cigar interesting. Cedar and leather also played a key roll. The only downside was the harshness that developed near the end." -Gregg (McGreggor57)
"Overall not a cigar I enjoyed very much. It started out with some nice flavors, but most of them diminished throughout the cigar and eventually got replaced by bitterness. It was pretty boring most of the time and required attention to keep it going. Not something I would recommend." -Emmett (rhetorik)
