In the case of shop events, it can be challenging for a small cigar shop. The difficulty comes in a few different forms. On one hand, a smaller cigar shop simply doesn't have as much space for customers. Also, a brand owner would typically be less inclined to spend the time money and effort to hold an event at a small cigar shop. But brands who have a broad following and dedicated group of talented sales reps can take chances on small shop events, and sometimes turn them into a success. In late July of 2018, I spent the evening at my local shop and had a wonderful time at a small scale cigar event.

·"This cigar had everything going for me. Lots of cream, wood, chocolate, and just a hint of spice at the end. It lasted a full 2 hours and never increased in strength, just dynamite. " -Mickey T. (irratebass)
"This was a very enjoyable cigar based upon flavor and performance. My only complaint is the flavors becoming somewhat muted during the middle portion. I would highly recommend this to any smoker who enjoys bold flavors and has a bit of time to dedicate to the experience. I’d love to pick up a five-pack of these for future enjoyment." -Jason H. "This is one of the better experiences I have had since being a panelist with Blind Man's Puff. While the prelight aromas were a little "odd" and had what I would describe as hints of dryness to it, the overall profile of the cigar was great! It developed nicely and changed all along the way, offering something different and enjoyable with each part of the cigar. This is a key point for me in rating a cigar, as I personally feel a cigar that develops a more favorable profile as it goes, is paramount to a rewarding smoking experience that keeps the smoker coming back for more" -Kevin A. (Kevin A.)
"This was a big cigar and a long smoke. The flavors were consistent the whole time. It was dark cocoa, cinnamon, and mild noted of salty nutty flavors. Strong black pepper that was intense at times and went deep into the chest. This is a steakhouse cigar. I would l make sure you eat a big meal and have a 4-6 finger pour of bourbon when smoking this one." -Chad M. (Chad Tchad)
"I really like this cigar. All of the flavors worked really well together and created a solid nuanced experience. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great cigar. " -Jeff (ExpendableYouth)
"I was sold from from first puff. Love a good closed foot that gives a quick reveal of the wrapper flavor at first light. This cigar has nice and subtle transitions. It does change, but not much. Thoroughly enjoyable smoke. Maintained a solid finish throughout that left me enjoying the flavors until the next draw. I’d pick this cigar up again." -Randy B. (randobush)
Pete Johnson of Tatauje Cigars showed off a new addition to the Cojonu line today. The Tatuaje Cojonu 2021 will be one of the larger cigars Johnson has ever made weighing in at 7 x 58. It is a very large belicoso and uses an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper.
"This was a very enjoyable smoke. The flavors stayed present through all parts of the smoke. The thick mouthfeel was nice. The strong coffee flavor was intense to the point it felt like I was pairing a coffee with this cigar. Other notes of earthy, cocoa and mild black pepper spice came through as well." -Chad M. (Chad Tchad)
"Overall, a great cigar. Plenty of smoke and enjoyable flavors. Although the flavor transitions were not super complex, the flavors of leather, cedar, and the later presence of sweetness made for an overall pleasurable experience. The temperature from the smoke was fairly cool and I was able to take this one all the way down to a nub and never really picked up any harshness. I will definitely smoke this cigar again." -Angel M.
