Cigar News: Drew Estate Expands the Isla del Sol Line

Drew Estate just announced the national release of Isla del Sol Maduro. It will be the long hoped for maduro wrapped blend of Isla del Sol. They also announced a new Gordito vitola in the Isla del Sol Sun Grown line, the original line of Isla del Sol. Each of these new cigars will debut at the 2018 IPCPR trade show.

Cigar News: Debonaire House | Soon to End Distribution Agreement With Drew Estate

For close to three years, Drew Estate has been handling the distribution for Debonaire House. As of January 1, 2019, Debonaire House will handle their own United States distribution. Debonaire House will directly manage all U.S. operations including distribution, sales, and marketing. The company has agreed to a partnership with United Parcel Service (UPS), and “Cigars Direct” which allows them to ship their Indian Motorcycle and Debonaire cigars directly from their Dominican Republic factory to cigar retailers here in the United States.

The ACID Petra, a 5 x 54 robusto with a Sumatra wrapper and pigtail cap, was released early in the 2000’s. A medium-bodied cigar offering unique aromas and flavors, including a blend of smoothness and spice. Petra is being re-introduced to the premium cigar marketplace in 24-ct boxes with the unmistakable ACID branding.

Joya de Nicaragua will celebrate 50 years in 2018, and one of the many commemorative events is the new release of the Antaño Gran Reserva Presidente. This is an exclusive TAA release that also joins the 50 year celebration for The Tobacconist Association of America (TAA). TAA is a group of select tobacco retailers and specialists in the United States and JDN is the oldest cigar factory in operation in Nicaragua.

"This was a good cigar with wonderful flavors and a personality. The taste started off on the medium strong side, went mild and then came back to a strong flavor. The black tea and cinnamon were wonderfully balanced and left a nice spicy taste on the tongue. The strength never got too strong to make me even think of putting it down. The tea and cinnamon remained consistent throughout the entire smoke. Definitely one for the humidor." -Eric (smalls29)

Cigar News: Drew Estate Introduce Factory Smokes

Drew Estate have announced the national launch of “Factory Smokes by Drew Estate”. It is a collection of four blends each in four sizes at a very low price, all in 20 or 25 count bundles. Factory Smokes Maduro, Factory Smokes Shade, Factory Smokes Sun Grown, and Factory Smokes Sweet will all be displayed in Drew Estate’s Booth at the 2018 IPCPR trade show. The cigars will ship to retailers in late July, 2018.

Cigar News: Drew Estate Announces Liga Privada No. 9 Corona Viva

Today, Drew Estate has announced the pre-release of the Liga Privada No. 9 CORONA VIVA exclusively for the Cigars International Super-Store in Hamburg, Pennsylvania. The event is the 15th annual CIGARfest. The #9 Corona Viva has the same Connecticut River Valley Broadleaf Oscuro Wrapper, Plantation grown Brazilian Mata Fina Binder, and Nicaraguan and Honduran Fillers as the original blend, but like the Undercrown Corona Viva, released in 2012, has increased Ligero for a stronger cigar.

Cigar News: 2018 Dates Announced for Drew Estate Barn Smoker Events

The dates for each of the 2018 Barn Smoker events from Drew Estate have been announced. The Barn Smokers are meant to highlight the American tobacco experience and bring the cigar smoker to the barn to teach them about the ins and outs of tobacco growing, processing, and manufacture. Drew Estate is adding Pennsylvania to the Barn Smoker lineup in 2018, specifically in Strasburg, PA on June 23rd. This event will be highlighted by the introduction of a new test blend that will feature a Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper.
