This week, Gurkha Cigars started shipping the Nicaragua Series to retailers. The Gurkha Nicaragua Series made it's debut at IPCPR 2019 and sees only the shelves of Gurkha's top retailers. Gurkha placed a maximum of 5 boxes per size, per retailer on the launch.
Back in June of this year, Ventura Cigar Company (VCC) announced the third series in their Archetype line, Archetype Chapter 3. These cigars started shipping today to the United States. Royal Agio Cigars USA has announced that their latest collaboration with La Flor Dominicana, Balmoral Serie Signaturas Paso Doble, is shipping. Last year Balmoral teamed up with E.P. "This was an ok cigar. It didn't really blow me away. There were lots of wood, and earthy flavors mixed with white and black pepper, but the cigar sadly didn't shine for me until the final third where cream came in and really rounded the cigar out. Unfortunately the cigar really annoyed me with the burn issues. I can't recommend this cigar because of that reason. " -Mickey T. (irratebass)

·"This was a dynamite cigar! I couldn't have asked for a better smoking experience. The cigar had a lot going on in the flavor dept. First I was greeted with walnuts/pistachio which then moved to caramel, wood, earth/dirt and ended up with a sweetness that coated my lips. I will be seeking these out once I find out what it was. YOU SHOULD TOO." -Mickey T. (irratebass)
So, I'll start by saying I don't recall ever having any of the other Amazon blends from CAO. I have, though, seen people rave about these blends for several years now. What I can say is this cigar had a great beginning, that first third was great. Unfortunately the cigar seemed to fall down on itself. The flavors dwindled until the bitterness formed at the end. The body and the strength of the cigar seemed to dwindle the same. The cigar loved to burn, even it was wavy at all times. The draw was excellent with my v-cut. If you're a fan of this line of CAO Amazon limited releases you definitely have to add it to your list; you've already got so much invested into it. For me, though, that first third was the highlight of the cigar. After that the cigar just started fading. Fortunately that first third burned almost as long as the last two combined, for a total of a two hour smoke.

·"Overall this was a decent smoke with the first half being my favorite. Rich buttery notes dominated the profile throughout and provided ample amounts of deliciousness for nearly and hour and a half. Recommended for those who enjoy mild and medium bodied sticks, this would be a good staple to add to almost any aficionados humidor. " -John A. (Bostoneo)
"Overall, this was a decent medium bodied cigar. Not much action was going on with a myriad of flavors, however what it did offer was a smooth and luxurious flavor profile filled with leather, well balanced black pepper, and dark chocolate creaminess. Well balanced and silky smooth, this is an easy recommendation and addition to your humidor. " -John A. (Bostoneo)
