"I was pleasantly surprised by this cigar. I am a big fan of this vitola and this particular cigar is a great example of why. Without being overly strong, this blend likely benefited from some intensified flavors caused by the smaller ring gauge. I was impressed by the sweetness and spicy balance of this smoke for sure. I would definitely keep a few of these on hand for a lunch smoke or a quick after-dinner nightcap. Cigar News: Congressman Testifies before House Subcommittee for Cigar Exemption

Yesterday Congressman Bill Posey (R-FL) testified before the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture about the need for appropriations language exempting premium cigars from the FDA’s deeming rule. This testimony came during the Appropriations Committee’s annual members’ day. IPCPR applauds Congressman Posey and extends our thanks on behalf of premium cigar retailers and tobacconists across the country for his continued fight for premium cigars and individual liberty.

"The final third was the star for me with perfectly balanced flavors of sweet and savory. The initial third had me wondering if this was a spice bomb but the heat backed off just before the halfway mark. I appreciated the nice transition offered during the smoke. Blind Cigar Review: MBombay | Vintage Reserve Lancero 1973

"Perfectly balanced and medium bodied is the best way to sum up this cigar. I had the opportunity to smoke two of these premium cigar offerings... that is like 16" of cigar.. never once did a harsh flavor cross my palate. On the exhale we had cedar, white pepper, herbs, antique tobacco, malts, and a little bit of sweetness. Retro had a delicious creamy airy lemon cake and cedar. Multi-country blend for sure. Perfect construction and burn. This cigar had flavors that reminded me of a old Cuban cigar from the 1980's with double the damn body. Aroma had an ancient library smell. Cigar News: Cigar Industry Files for Summary Judgment on FDA’s Final Deeming Rule

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Yesterday, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the Cigar Association of America, the International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers Association and Cigar Rights of America filed a Motion for Summary Judgment and opening brief in the cigar industry's litigation challenging the FDA's Final Deeming Rule.

Today President Trump announced Dr. Scott Gottlieb as his pick to lead the Food & Drug Administration (FDA). Dr. Gottlieb has an impressive and extensive resume, with a wide-ranging background in both the private and public sectors and a M.D. from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. IPCPR welcomes the pick of Dr. Gottlieb and, If confirmed, we look forward to working with him as we continue to advocate for common-sense reforms to the recent FDA regulation needlessly harming the family owned small businesses retailers that make up IPCPR.
