Blind Cigar Review: Dunhill | Aged Maduro Short Robusto

"This is a fairly short-lived cigar, easy smoking in under an hour, and probably just over a half hour smoke for most people. Each third had a distinct change of flavors that could easily be detected without looking. I found myself enjoying this one, a lot. But, it could use some glue. The tendency for the wrapper to unravel kept me distracted and, ultimately forced me to score the cigar lower than I would have liked based on flavor alone. "This was just a beautiful cigar to look at and even hold in my hand. Looks alone this cigar would be killer. Unfortunately I had some draw issues on this one. Normally I would have taken the draw poker to it but since it was a review I wanted to smoke it as is. I did enjoy the flavors I got throughout they were just very muted and in the end became bitter. Quick Cigar Review: Sensei’s Sensational Sarsaparilla II

Full disclosure... I have been a member of Cigar Dojo for a few years now. As a result of my time on the Dojo app, I have made some great friends and learned a lot about this hobby that we all love so much. When the original Sarsaparilla cigar was released in the Fall of 2014, I was excited to try it because I was already a big fan of the cigars coming out of the La Zona factory from Erik Espinosa. The original Sarsaparilla cigar proved to be another winner, and I still consider that to be one of the best cigars to have ever been crafted at La Zona.

"This was a great cigar for a tough day. Earlier today I buried my father so I really needed something to help me relax and this was it. Add to that the fact that I was smoking with my brother (whom I haven't seen in years) and was in a great cigar lounge (Rudy's Cigars in Rockford Illinois) and it really made for a good time.
