Foundation Cigar Company has announced an extension to their Tabernacle Havana Seed CT 142 line, a Lancero. In keeping with the tradition of releasing a lancero extension to his new lines the following year, Nick Melillo is bringing this lancero to the 2019 IPCPR trade show and convention.
The Tabernacle Havana Seed #142 was released last year at IPCPR and came in four vitolas: 6 x 52 Toro, 5 x 50 Robusto, 5 ¼ x 46 Corona, and 7 x 54 Double Corona.
“In some circles, it is believed that lanceros are the best way to truly taste the cigar’s terroir,” says Nicholas Melillo.
The wrapper for the Tabernacle Havana Seed #142 is grown near Foundation‘s Connecticut headquarters, where Nicholas Melillo has been cultivating this seed since 2014. The official name of the wrapper is Havana Seed #142 Grown in Connecticut, and is followed by a San Andres Mexico binder, and, Esteli, Jalapa, and Jamastran fillers. The price for the lancero is set at $12.75 for a single and $306 for the box of 24.
“As they grow in popularity stateside, Lanceros are increasingly becoming known as the cigar size that cigar makers smoke themselves.”
