Blind Cigar Review: CLE | Signature Series PLdM

"This was a very good cigar. The first third is the star giving me complex flavors of coffee and cream, oily chili, black pepper, sweet bread, hay, cedar and at times perhaps a black licorice. I kept wanting to take draws just so I can confirm what I'm tasting. The cigar does still have a little bit of edge to it in which I think age may help with. Easy fiver for me. Smoking one every 6 months or so to see how it is progressing." -Jiunn (jliu)

Quick Cigar Review: Sotolongo | Hechicera Maduro Robusto

The Hechicera Maduro is the second and final blend from the Sotolongo Cigars partnership with Christian Eiroa and was released in August of 2014. The cigar has a Mexican San Andres Maduro wrapper with Nicaraguan binder and filler. The Robusto measures in at 4.5”x50 and carries an MSRP of $7.46.

"I enjoyed the first third the most and hoped that that flavor would continue throughout the cigar. The spiciness was nice. The last two thirds transitioned to a less desirable, but not bad flavor. This would be a good cigar as the last cigar of the day or one to have after a meal. This is something that I would smoke again." -Aaron (aaron72)

"While the flavor profile of this cigar really wasn't in my personal wheelhouse, it will likely appeal to others who prefer sticks that bring a strong pepper punch on the front end and like smokes with grass and hay type overtones. While not very complex, it was not overly simple or boring either. It was well made and other than the single touch up required (not really a big deal at all) it performed nicely from start to finish as well." -Dave (mdwest)

"Overall this smoke was unlike anything I smoked before. It had a unique shape and some unique and enjoyable flavors. It was more mild...teetering on the medium side but this allowed the flavors to shine through nicely. However the cigar never really shyed away from its core assortment of spices and sweetness which did tend to lose my interest after the second third." -Will (Dubv23)
