Cigar Dojo has been moving members over to its newest version of their cigar community app for a few weeks now, but now, today, has officially released it to the world. This new version is web-based and packed with new features.
Last years collaboration between Cigar Dojo and Aganorsa Leaf, Bonsai, has a pre-release during the Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival festivities. It launched nationwide shortly after through online retailer Payless Cigars & Pipes, which is run by Smoker Friendly, the same company that runs the festival. This was one of Cigar Dojo's most successful and fastest-selling collaborations to date. Now, Bonsai is returning to Smoker Friendly, and their online store paylesscigarsandpipes.com as a limited, but ongoing release.
Caldwell Cigar Company and Cigar Dojo announced today their first collaboration: Far Eastern Standard. This new cigar is a lancero, another first for Cigar Dojo, and pays homage to the original Eastern Standard release from Caldwell, a long time favorite of the Cigar Dojo.
Last year, Cigar Dojo and Aganorsa Leaf' collaborated on ReviveR, which scored a 92 in our blind review and ended up on our Top 25 cigars of the year. Now, this year, they have collaborated again on a new project, Bonsai.
Today, Cigar Dojo and Espinosa Cigars announced another collaboration: Psychedelic Turtle. The two companies have previously collaborate and a number of releases including Sensei's Sensational Sarsaparilla, Feng Shui.
Drew Estate announced a new version its collaboration cigar with Cigar Dojo today, Undercrown Dojo Dogma Sun Grown. It will be exclusive to Drew Diplomat retailers and will be showcased on the upcoming Freestyle Live: Special Edition hosted on facebook.com/drewestatecigar on June 11th from 7:00-9:00pm EST.
Cigar Dojo and Alec & Bradley have announced Uru Doshi, a limited cigar that will only be available on leap year. This is the first collaboration between Cigar Dojo and Alec & Bradley. Alec and Bradley is the company started by the sons of Alec Bradley cigar maker Alan Rubin, Alec and Bradley Rubin.
Exactly one year ago today, Cigar Dojo and Room101 Cigars announced their first collaboration: [untitled] (aka Noodles). Now, the two companies re-releasing their cigar [untitled] (2019).
Three years ago, RoMa Craft Tobac and Cigar Dojo collaborated for the original Whiskey Rebellion. This cigar came in one size, a robusto, and was limited to 6,000 cigars and sold exclusively through Famous Smoke Shop. It sold out in one hour. It was later expanded in vitolas and released as a regular production cigar through Famous. Now, the two companies are releasing a sequel: Whiskey Rebellion 1794 Pennsatucky.
Cigar Dojo announced today the addition of Rob Rasmussen to their writing and contribution team. Effective immediately he will be writing reviews, and in the future live content, news and much more. Rob was, up until last month, the Brand Manger for Mombacho cigars. Prior to working with Mombacho for 2 years, he was with Cigar Federation and before that started the Robby Ras Review site. He also co-founded the Cigar Chat podcast which joined Cigar Federation in 2013. While at Cigar Federation he contributed with IPCPR coverage, and co-founded the Sharing Our Pairings podcast.
