E.P. Carrillo Cigar Co. has announced that the fourth line in the Perez-Carrillo Series, Allegiance, is now shipping to retailers....
The original Mule Kick debuted back in 2012 as a limited extension to the Four Kicks line. It used a higher priming Habano wrapper and a slightly tweaked internal blend. Production was limited to 5,000 sticks. That original Mule Kick blend was be re-released in 2017, and then there were subsequent releases in 2018 and 2019 featuring Connecticut Habano maduro and Ecuador Sumatra wrappers respectively.
"The cigar checked all the boxes for me. Construction was great, never needed a touchup or relight. I really enjoyed the profile throughout with the hints of dark chocolate and oak. It rounded out really well with the black pepper." -Quinn (quinnpins269)
Announced just before this year's PCA trade show, the E.P. Carrillo Pledge Lonsdale Limitada is now shipping. The new size is box-pressed and measures 6 1/2 x 43. It comes in boxes of 20 and a retail price of $12.00. The blend has been updated from the original Pledge blend to use a USA Broadleaf wrapper, Ecuadorian binder and Nicaraguan filler.
"I love this vitola and how they are a perfect winter cigar. There weren't really any big flavor transitions but the flavors hit my palate in the sweet spot. Loved the black coffee, leather, earth and spice this cigar presented me. I would definitely recommend this to full bodied smokers who only have 30 to 45 minutes to enjoy a cigar. Very well done!!" -Kevin J. (maninblack77)
"Very good cigar. Started out with an incense/aromatic element that I couldn't quite put my finger on other than incense, but it didn't stay through the whole cigar. It kinda faltered out about the middle of the 2nd and walnuts and sweet tobacco took over. By the end it was just wood and that same sweet tobacco. Strength never got up to a medium. Very nice smoking experience. " -Mickey T. (irratebass)

·"If you are in to earthy, spicy cigars, that perform well and don't disappoint, then this is a cigar for you. It developed from medium to the high end of medium full throughout that smoking experience on an almost linear level. No abrupt changes in strength or body, and no re-lights or touchups needed. While it did end up a little bitter and spicy at the end, novice smokers should feel no fear with this cigar, as long as it is paired with something to offset the strength at the end, like a nice aged rum. Stout beer would overrun it, as would cask strength scotch or barrel proof bourbon. All in all a great experience that I look forward to trying again!" -Kevin A. (Kevin A.)
For their latest line, Escapade, E.P. Carrillo is jumping on the recent trend of giving consumers input to help Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr. blend a cigar. E.P. Carrillo will be hosting a series of Zoom sessions where small groups of consumers will have the opportunity to share their preferences and ideas for the new blend directly with Ernesto.
E.P. Carrillo Cigar Company has announced the shipment of the first round of their Platinum Bash cigar. Late last year, the company sent out a sampler to celebrate Ernesto's 70th birthday. In each sampler there was a QR code that allowed customers to select their favorite blend based off the ribbon color on the cigar. These packs were available either at events or through purchasing a box of E.P. Carrillo cigars.
