In anticipation of the winter months, and the need for shorter smoking time, HVC Cigars is releasing a new size of their popular Hot Cake Maduro Line, a classic Half Corona that measures 44 x 3 1/2.
Starting in August of this year, HVC Cigars will distribute its own cigars. This was previously done through Aganorsa Leaf who also rolls their cigars. This will be done through their new headquarters "HVC CIGARS HEADQUARTERS" in Doral, FL. None of the blends or lines are changing for the company.

·"This was an interesting cigar. I started out mild/medium and kept ramping up in strength were it even caused a bit of a nicotine buzz. The main flavor component was wood & spice, there was a nice floral and cream on the retro in the beginning then turned to more spice, until the final third which brought heavy cinnamon on the retro very unusual. HVC's only new line this year was the Cerro Maduro this is a followup to their original Cerro now featuring a Mexican San Andrés wrapper. ·"The cigar provides a very easy and pleasant experience. There is not much to think about and in the same vein I wish I did! The complexity is quite lacking with a very unilateral leather and tobacco profile. I will do this one again but probably will not go out looking for one." -Sandeep (Djangos)
After releasing the first cigar produced in their own brand new factory last year, Seleccion No 1., HVC Cigars is now set to release HVC Seleccion No1 in a Natural wrapper version. The HVC Seleccion No 1. Natural is a Nicaraguan puro with binders and fillers from the Esteli and Jalapa regions of Nicaragua. The wrapper is a Habano 92 seed grown in Ecuador. The blend is described as a medium full body cigar. It comes packaged in old school bright yellow box a throwback to owner Reinier Lorenzo's Cuban roots.
HVC Cigars is adding a 6 x 60 size to it's HOT CAKE line and will show it off at the PCA 2021 trade show. This new size will be called the Gran Cañon and will have a special secondary footer. This also marks the first 60 ring cigar the company has in it's entire portfolio.

·"I really enjoyed this cigar. It had just enough transitions to keep me interested and just kept getting better as I went along. There was a lot of creamy coco, brown sugar, leather, hay, and woodiness notes that all worked together in a really nice way. I would suggest trying one for yourself. " -Jeff (ExpendableYouth)

·"To be honest, I was completely surprised by this cigar. First impressions can sometimes be deceiving. This is not a very good looking stick, and the first third started off pretty slow, but the constant flavor transitions and strong overall performance of the cigar more than made up for that. At the end of it all, I enjoyed the stick quite a bit and would gladly smoke it again in the future." -Dave (mdwest)
