The Oktoberfest by Quesada Cigars is making a return for 2014. While the blend will remain the same, but as usual will feature a different vintage crop. The big change will be that the cigars will feature a new band. The company is also adding a Salomon Press vitola that will be made available at events only. The cigars are expected to be showcased at the 2014 IPCPR Trade Show.
The name Bayern is the German name for Bavaria, which is one of the sixteen states in Germany. Bayern is the state where the Oktoberfest celebrations first originated. For the Oktoberfest Bayern, Quesada Cigars reaches back into its past and uses the Cuban-style pyramid shaped vitola based on the classic Fonseca Triangular format. The 2017 Quesada Oktoberfest Dominican blend was then tweaked to work with this unique vitola - delivering a one-of-a-kind smoking experience.
Terence Reilly has returned to the cigar industry. The former national sales manager for Quesada Cigars has been hired by the Aganorsa/Casa Fernandez conglomerate as its new senior vice president in charge of sales and marketing. Reilly’s new position comes less than a month after he resigned from Quesada, where he worked for more than eight years.
Aganorsa Leaf Habano, formerly known as the Aganorsa Leaf Tabsa Habano, is now shipping with updated packaging and bands. The redesign reflects updated designs for the Corojo, Maduro, and Connecticut lines of the Aganorsa Leaf series which were repackaged last year.

The Quesada Family has announced the release of the Casa Magna Jalapa Claro, a Special Edition to their award winning Casa Magna brand. Made at the Plasencia factory in Nicaragua, the Jalapa Claro consists of the same award winning blend as their Casa Magna Colorado but uses a lighter Claro wrapper from Jalapa, creating a sweeter, more medium bodied full flavored blend. 500 boxes of three sizes of this Special Edition will be made and available only to attendees of the IPCPR show this July.
After more than eight years with Quesada Cigars, Terence Reilly has turned in his resignation. Tomorrow, October 31st 2017, is his last day. Reilly was not only Quesada’s national sales manager, he is a member of the Quesada family and was instrumental in leading creative projects for Quesada Oktoberfest, Heisenberg, Domus Magnus and Fonseca Nicaragua.
Aganorsa Leaf (formerly Casa Fernandez) has announced a one-time release production of their Aniversario line in a perfecto exclusively to IPCPR attendees. Production is limited to 250 boxes of 10 cigars and can only be ordered from their booth. The cigar measure 6 1/4" x 52 and is bunched and rolled in Miami using Aganorsa tobacco. The blend uses a Corojo 99 wrapper and binder and filler from Jalapa and Esteli.
Aganorsa Leaf is adding a line to its JFR Lunatic series: JFR Lunatic Loco. JFR stands for Just for Retailers and has been around since 2011. The Lunatic line was added in 2015.
Aganorsa Leaf is bringing a new line to TPE 2020, Supreme Leaf. The blend features tobacco grown 100% from Aganorsa farms and packaging has a look that is unique to the company.
