·Today, Joya de Nicaragua unveiled a new Connecticut shade-wrapped version of it's Antaño line: Joya de Nicaragua Antaño CT. The word Antaño translates to "Yesteryear". The Antaño CT joins the original Antaño CT, Antaño Reserva, and Antaño Dark Corojo in the line.
Joya De Nicaragua has announced the Antaño Gran Reserva GT20, a special version of its Antaño Gran Reserva line. The original Antaño goes back to 2001 when the cigar was once considered the strongest in the world, and set the path for Nicaraguan grown for years. The GT20 celebrates the 20th Anniversary of that release.
Dr. Alejandro Martínez Cuenca, Chairman of Joya de Nicaragua, has been a fan of the game Shut the Box since 2012. He learned of the game at a cigar shop, Havana Mix Shop in Memphis, TN, and was challenged to a game. Cuenca has a PhD in Economics and has always been fascinated with numbers and games with numbers. With this in mind, Joya de Nicaragua is releasing a box of Antaño cigars, designed to play this game, Antaño Shut the Box Limited Edition.

Joya de Nicaragua announced a new vitola in their Número Uno line: Le Premier, a 6 ⅞ x 48 Churchill. Número Uno began as a cigar only offered to World Leaders by Nicaraguan ambassadors, in 2018 a small amount of bundles were sold at Joya de Nicaragua events, and in 2019 the cigar saw a limited release to the world earning the #8 spot on our top 25 cigars of 2019 list. Número Uno is part of the Obras Maestras, or "Masterpieces" collection meaning Joya's top of the line offerings.

Joya de Nicaragua is adding a new vitola to the Cinco Décadas line: Cinco Décadas Fundador. The name "Fundador" translates to "Founder" and is a tribute to Juan Francisco Bermejo and Simón Camacho, two men attibuted with the rise of cigars in Nicaragua. It will be shown off at IPCPR 2019.
