Today, Rocky Patel Premium Cigars (RPPC) announced a new brand the be debuted at the IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas, ALR. ALR stands for Aged, Limited, and Rare. This is the first in the series that plans to run for years to come. The project started three years ago when Rocky blended a special small batch cigar that he would only order a run of 100,000. He decided it would be a good cigars to age and this became the first ALR.

Santa Clara (the wholesale arm of JR Cigar) has announced a maduro version of one of its most popular exclusive cigars, Rocky Patel Freedom. Rocky Patel Freedom Maduro will be the third in the Freedom line following the original which is a medium-to-full-bodied smoke with an Ecuadorian wrapper, first created to represent Rocky’s continued effort to fight for the cigar industry’s freedom, and the Connecticut version.

The original release took place 10 years ago and is now being exclusively distributed by Phillips & King as of late September 2022. It was discontinued in 2012 because the Costa Rican maduro wrapper, which was used primarily on The Edge Maduro, had become too rare. The line made a comeback at the 2018 IPCPR trade show and remained quiet until now.
