Cigar News: Aganorsa Leaf Announces Stateline Exclusive Cigar

Today, Aganorsa Leaf has announced an exclusive cigar with their retail partner Stateline Cigar Lounge in Newark, Delaware. The new cigar is simply called "Stateline." The blend uses entirely Aganorsa tobacco including a corojo 99 wrapper from Jalapa, and binder and filler tobaccos from their farms in Esteli, Jalapa, and Condega. Stateline comes in one size, a 6 x 50 toro.

"I absolutely adored this blend and I am anxiously awaiting to find out what it was so I can stock up. This is a very heavy spicy cigar that is full of both strength and flavor. The pepper was the superstar of the cigar so if you enjoy spice this is absolutely a stick you have to try. In the background, there were other supporting notes of earth, leather, mineral, and nutty flavors to help round the blend out. Last years collaboration between Cigar Dojo and Aganorsa Leaf, Bonsai, has a pre-release during the Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival festivities. It launched nationwide shortly after through online retailer Payless Cigars & Pipes, which is run by Smoker Friendly, the same company that runs the festival. This was one of Cigar Dojo's most successful and fastest-selling collaborations to date. Now, Bonsai is returning to Smoker Friendly, and their online store paylesscigarsandpipes.com as a limited, but ongoing release.

Aganorsa Leaf has announced a partnership and new exclusive cigar for J&J Spirits, the company behind Single Cask Nation Whisky. This new cigar, simply called Single Cask Nation, is a rye cask aged premium cigar that comes in one size: a robusto in size measuring 5 1/4” x 50. The blend uses a Habano Ecuador wrapper and Nicaraguan filler and binder.

"This was an ok cigar. It didn't really blow me away. There were lots of wood, and earthy flavors mixed with white and black pepper, but the cigar sadly didn't shine for me until the final third where cream came in and really rounded the cigar out. Unfortunately the cigar really annoyed me with the burn issues. I can't recommend this cigar because of that reason. " -Mickey T. (irratebass)

Cigar News: Cigar Dojo and Aganorsa Leaf Announce ReviveR

Cigar Dojo has announced ReviveR, a collaboration cigar with Aganorsa Leaf (formerly Casa Fernandez). This is a very limited production cigar with ony 300 boxes of 10 cigars being sold exclusively through online retailer Atlantic Cigar Company. The price will be $99.95 per box, however, members of the Cigar Dojo app will be given a discount of $89.99 during the first weekend. The word reviver is a palendrome and played a part in the name choice for this release. The cigars are presented in raw-wood boxes and each box contains a genuine Aganorsa leaf, resting just beneath the box's sliding lid.
