Miami, Florida, July 16, 2014 – G.R. Tabacaleras Co. Cigar Factory, owned and operated by George Rico in Little Havana, announces that a new edition of a very popular S.T.K. cigar will be unveiled this summer, joining the S.T.K. Miami American Puro and Barracuda lines.
This was one of the best Connecticut wrapped cigars I have smoked. It had a little strength to it and the body really kept up with it. The flavors were very good with slight transitions that kept things interesting. The performance was great and didn’t require any attention which always helps the experience. This cigar could do well as a morning cigar or first cigar of the day, but it could also hold up as something smoked later or as a second cigar of the day. I would definitely be up for smoking more of these.
"Although the wrapper was a little darker than most Connecticuts, I believe this was one. It was medium bodied the whole way through, and had lots of flavors. I really enjoyed this cigar form start to finish. It could be smoked at any time of the day. The quality of the construction and the tobaccos is very high, and I appreciate that. I would definitely buy a box of these." -Emmett (rhetorik)
"A solid cigar full of richer flavors with just enough sweetness to keep it balanced. I feared the profile might become harsh after the leather faded and was pleasantly surprised at how smooth it remained. While just shy of what I would consider a powerhouse, there was enough strength in the first and final third to caution a newer cigar smoker." -Gregg (McGreggor57)
Like all Grand Empire Reserves, the new Petit Lancero (6X38) possesses Nicaraguan binder and filler that have been uniquely blended and fermented using REINADO’s signature process.
"The coffee turned to more of a green tea taste as it moves to the front, bringing a bit of allspice and fresh hay flavor with it. The cedar has a sweet taste, and the pepper remains constant, providing an enjoyable kick to the cigar at the very end." -Ron (shuckins)
"Overall, this was a very good cigar. The flavors intrigued me and kept me smoking. The build up of the flavors was nice, rather than some flavors coming and going, they all came and didn't really fade." -Paul (pmr1010)
"I am having a hard time imagining this cigar being under ten dollars, but if that were true, I would buy them up in an instant. There is something to be said for consistancy and this is an example of a cigar that has it in flavor, but most definitely in construction." -Jack (Jack_H)
"This is a solid cigar that increases in complexity throughout the smoke. The cigar is well balanced and there is a great balance of flavor and strength. Construction is excellent and the cigar itself smokes really well and allows you to smoke at a slower pace to enjoy subtle flavor changes. The first third started off a bit one dimensional; however, the final two thirds had some wonderful flavors and textures. The cigar truly shined in the second and final thirds where honey and caramel notes balance well with tobacco, cedar and oak flavors. I would happily smoke this cigar again and I would love to have it in a corona." -Dave (Cigar Jukebox)
