This was a good cigar, better than average. It has some really interesting flavors and unique spices. The too loose draw made the burn go wonky and the cigar get hot towards the end, but I think, knowing the quality of cigars coming out of my father, this is not a normal occurrence. I would definitely smoke this again, but I don't know if it's box worthy, maybe a 5er to see how it ages. I give this a personal score of 90.

·"I was really surprised by the changes in flavor profile. The complexity in this cigar really caught me off guard as the dark DARK wrapper told my eyes one thing but my nose and tongue were telling a totally different story. I enjoyed this cigar from start to finish even if the burn was slightly uneven in the beginning. Not too long of a smoke too so you can certainly find the time to squeeze one in." -Paul (pmr1010)

·"I enjoyed this cigar. Though there were only a few flavors to taste, they were good ones. The evolution of the chocolate flavors were very appealing and I'm happy that it maintained that course instead of having too many things going on. A definite cold day smoke for me to enjoy with hot chocolate or a smooth coffee." -Paul (pmr1010)

"Enjoyable. As I've been smoking over these past few years, I've slowly begun to lose a taste for heavy maduros, but I like this one, in part because it's not too heavy. It's not particularly complex, but it features everything a maduro ought to. It's like if AJ Fernandez quit blending budget sticks and moved on to the good stuff. Highly recommended for fans of his work who want to try something just a little bit better." -Derek (StogieNinja)

·"Great cigar! I absolutely enjoyed the core flavors of sweet cedar creaminess with just the right amount of black pepper to pull it all together. Pockets of mintiness and breadiness kept me engaged the entire cigar. I would be interested in doing a box split of these. Keep giving me blind reviews like this one please!" -Jiunn (jliu)

·"I have just one thing to say about this cigar...superb! Ok, I have more to say...The flavors were excellent, offering just enough change to keep me interested but remaining deeply entrenched in my prime flavor wheelhouse. If you like full flavored, and rich cigars then this is highly recommended! If you're interested in branching out to a fuller cigar, then this is also highly recommended. One thing...don't but them all...I want a few more!" -Jason H. (Jokey Smurf)

·"This was an interesting cigar with several flavor changes. In fact, it started almost opposite of how it finished, beginning with light flavors, and ending with a deep, dark earth/espresso bouquet. I noted just a bit of nicotine strength, but not too much, making it OK for the adventurous beginner. This is probably not a daily smoke for me, but not something I'd run away from." -Jason H. "This was a very unique cigar, the flavors were ones I don't normally pick up like vegetal and squash, but accompanied with more traditional ones like wood and nuts. I would definitely get some more of these, if nto just to have something different. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to others, I'm curious if time will smooth out the final third." -Emmett (rhetorik)
The Nestor Miranda Collection was released this year (2014). The Connecticut is a rebranded version of the Nestor Miranda Special Selection Connecticut. The blend is the same, so it’s nothing more than a rebranding of that cigar.
