"Despite having to battle a wonky burn throughout, this stick was nothing short of incredible in my book! The complexity was never over the top and the transitions just made sense. Salty and sweet flavor profiles danced a beautiful tango back and forth across my palate for the entirety of the smoke which made for a thoroughly interesting and enjoyable experience. The strength and complexity of this stick remained a solid medium from start to finish which would make it a sound choice for anyone wanting to graduate to a bolder flavor profile without being punched in the face by strength and body. 10 out of 10 will be seeking this one out to round out my normal smoking rotation." -Noah S. "Something about this cigar blend was a superstar for me. I often found myself smoking too fast because I was enjoying the blend so much. Leather was the star backbone of the blend from the first puff until the last. There was some great complexity first, with cedar sweetness and a slight white pepper on the retro. Then, some hazelnut and subtle baking spice notes as the blend progressed. I would smoke this again and look forward to discovering what it was." -Lauren S. (Lauren S.)
"The cigar at first sight is a thick chunk of a cigar. I thought it would be interesting because it's a bigger gauge cigar that often not much of a fan of. With that being said, the sweet fruit flavors and the smokey peat and black pepper spice were a nice mixture that made this very enjoyable. The first and second third of the cigar were good, but then the flavors decreased and faded and the cigar became average." -Chad M. (Chad Tchad)
"At first puff, I was certain my experience with this smoke was going to be lackluster and in line with what I get from most Connecticuts. Connecticuts have their time and place. There is certainly a handful that has knocked my socks off, but for a guy who generally reaches for something more full-bodied they are generally the exception and not the rule. I am pleased to say that I was wrong about this stick! What started off as one-dimensional and harsh, subtly transitioned into a smooth and dynamically flavorful cigar. The final third is unequivocally where this stick shined with a rich and meaty flavor that left my mouth watering. Had the first two-thirds echoed the last, it would certainly be a favorite of mine amongst lighter-bodied cigars. Next time I might pair this cigar with a light roast coffee to start my day off right." -Noah S. (Noah)
"Overall I was a huge fan of this blend. The strong pepper in the retro along with great leather, chocolate, mocha, and baking spices lead this blend right onto my preferred palate. The only downside was the starting and ending inches had a hot and harsh flavor.I will absolutely revisit this blend in the future." -Lauren S. (Lauren S.)
"I really enjoyed this cigar and definitely would smoke it again. To me this would be a very good morning cigar or paired later in the day with a nice scotch or light bourbon. Decent smoke output, great flavors and excellent construction were the norm for this one." -James H. (Keikan Jim)
"While I typically do not prefer cigars that are "one dimensional", I do appreciate ones that have minimal transitions, with outstanding representations of the flavors that are there. This is one of those cigars. My only complaint is this was a relatively fast burner. It was one that I wished I had a toro version of, cause I wasn't ready to be done when the nub got to hot to hold! " -Kevin A. (Kevin A.)
"This complex cigar featured some interesting flavor transitions which I highly enjoyed. The notes were all well defined and the transitions between the differing notes all made sense. I would recommend this stogie to both newcomers and seasoned cigar smokers alike." -Matt Ca. (Cade)
"This is actually an easy cigar to sum up. If you like full bodied cigars that burn slow and deliver the straight forward flavors of earth and black pepper, then you will probably enjoy this cigar. If those flavors aren’t your jam and you’re inclined to smoke something with a little nuance or transitions... smoke something else. " -Matt Cade (CadeTNCC)
"Overall, a great cigar. Plenty of smoke and enjoyable flavors. Although the flavor transitions were not super complex, the flavors of leather, cedar, and the later presence of sweetness made for an overall pleasurable experience. The temperature from the smoke was fairly cool and I was able to take this one all the way down to a nub and never really picked up any harshness. I will definitely smoke this cigar again." -Angel M.
