General Cigar introduced a ton of new things at the show this year, and we are pretty excited about some of them.
This year, the Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival is headed back to the world-renowned Omni Interlocken Hotel & Resort in beautiful Broomfield, Colorado.
The Escurio is Davidoff’s latest release and appears to be a follow up to the successful Nicaragua line. This release has its ties to Brazil. It has an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Brazilian Cubra binder and a filler combination of cubra and mata fina from Brazil, along with Dominican San Vicente.
Drew Estate Debuts New Nica Rustica “Belly” & Short Robusto Vitolas Miami, FL – Drew Estate announced today that they would be introducing their new Nica Rustica “Belly” and Nica Rustica Short Robusto sizes in stores nationwide starting in August 2015. Cubariqueño Cigar Company will be attending the 2015 International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers Trade Show (IPCPR) this weekend in New Orleans, LA. The company, which launched its first cigar (Protocol) to market on May 16 of this year, has announced their presence at the 2015 IPCPR, booth 15824.
In the past few days leading up to IPCPR 2015 in New Orleans, stories, rumors and mixed information began spreading around various cigar sites about the departure of Hirochi Robaina from Cubanacan and the fate of his successful new brand HR 1845 as well as Cubanacan's factory. We have refrained on posting stories about this in order to get the facts and official statements straight first. The HR 1845 took the number 8 spot on our Top 25 list in 2014. It does appear that Robaina has left Cubanacan and joined with La Palina Cigars, and may not have gone about it the best way. Here is Cubanacan's official response.
