Paul Garmirian celebrates 30 years of making cigars by releasing the PG Gourmet Series III. The original Gourmet Series debuted in 1990. Following that, the Series II was a bit stronger blend. Now, the Series III is said to be richer using darker and oilier wrappers.

This cigar really surprised me with the flavors going on. It started out with wintergreen mixed with cinnamon then it transitioned into wood, chocolate and finally honey. The burn and construction were both excellent, I mean c’mon it’s Davidoff you pay for what you get. This was a very good smoke if you have the money and feel like treating yourself I highly recommend it.
It kinda caught me off guard how slow this cigar was burning. I was about an hour and twenty minutes in and only halfway done. The burn was pretty wavy and I was tempted to touch it up a few times but let it run its course and it started burning razor sharp after the halfway point. The draw was just a tad looser that I normally like but the quality and quantity of smoke was unreal. The end kinda left my head spinning and I'm glad I had eaten before I started this review or I would have been in trouble. If you enjoy slow burning, strong, rich cigars I highly recommend picking up a few to try.
Overall, this was a very tasty cigar with many flavors one doesn't typically get with many sticks. I thoroughly enjoyed the sweet creamy flavors that exuded from the cigar. The burn was spot on and construction near perfect. The only issue was the super flaky ash, which ended up all over me as bits and pieces would separate from the main bulk. Worth $32? Maybe as a celebratory smoke or if you want something that is a change of pace that is a mild/medium profile. Thumbs up on this masterpiece.

"In terms of transitions or flavor profile changes this cigar really didn't have any. That's not to say it wasn't an enjoyable smoke though. The core flavors of pepper, cedar, sweetness, leather, and espresso worked really well together. I couldn't say that this cigar wowed me but it was a really nice cigar with just enough going on to keep my interest. Depending on price I would say you should definitely give this cigar a try. "This was a decent stick with plenty of flavor transitions from third to third. The thick luxurious flavors proved ample enjoyment and relaxation. The only downside I had was with the burn as a result of an uneven construction during the first half of the cigar. Something I’d like to try again before I decide if it’s a must try...." -John A. Each of our panelists were given 10 votes to towards our Top 25 Cigars of the Year - 2018. As with previous years, the order of their votes mattered as their #1 vote is worth twice as much as their #10. Our list is made up of cigars that had a wide release this year. The cigars that are eligible do not have to have been reviewed on Blind Man's Puff, but the reviewer must have smoke it at some point to vote for it.

"This was a very flavorful, well executed, mild cigar. The constant reminder of sweetness paired with the various other notes made this cigar a pleasure to smoke. While it did not have many flavor descriptors, what it offered was a great experience that I would definitely revisit in the future when I am in the mood for something milder and elegant." -John A.
