Blind Cigar Review: Joya de Nicaragua | Cinco Décadas Diadema

"The most impressive portion of this cigar in terms of flavor came at the end, but combined with the top notch construction leads me to rate this a bit higher than I might. Cigar News: Joya de Nicaragua Antaño Gran Reserva Presidente and Selección de Torcedor Arrive in Stores

This year, Joya de Nicaragua has shipped two TAA exclusive cigars: Antaño Gran Reserva Presidente and Selección de Torcedor. The Antaño Gran Reserva Presidente returns from 2018 unchanged. The Selección de Torcedor is a new release but is only available with the purchase of the Gran Reserva as a 5-pack.

Cigar News: Joya de Nicaragua Unveils Antaño CT

Today, Joya de Nicaragua unveiled a new Connecticut shade-wrapped version of it's Antaño line: Joya de Nicaragua Antaño CT. The word Antaño translates to "Yesteryear". The Antaño CT joins the original Antaño CT, Antaño Reserva, and Antaño Dark Corojo in the line.

Joya de Nicaragua is releasing Número Uno, a cigar previously only available to wold leaders handed out by Nicaraguan ambassadors on business around the world. This is the latest release in what the company calls the Obras Maestras, or "Masterpieces" collection which also includes the Cuatro Cinco and Cinco Decedas.

Quick Cigar Review: Joya De Nicaragua | No. 1

Overall, this was an enjoyable cigar. Usually I don’t smoke milder sticks since they have a tendency to go sour halfway through, however this stick held its ground and provided ample amounts of body with enjoyable flavors! Definitely try out the Joya No. 1 before you count it out because of a Connecticut wrapper.

"Great good stuff here. I wanted a bit more power early on, and it finally delivered in the finale. Super chocolaty in the early going, developing to a nice rich espresso finish at the end. If there was any problem here it's that it was maybe just a little too polite to start. I'd still be happy to smoke a ton more. " -John I. (John I.)

Joya de Nicaragua has begun shipping their tins in three lines containing small 4x32 vitolas. The three are: Antaño 1970, JOYA Black, and JOYA Red. This format is part of the other 27 blends available in the Drew Estate 4x32 Tin Collection. All tins ship with a Boveda pack.

Cigar News: Joya de Nicaragua Adds Fundador to Cinco Décadas

Joya de Nicaragua is adding a new vitola to the Cinco Décadas line: Cinco Décadas Fundador. The name "Fundador" translates to "Founder" and is a tribute to Juan Francisco Bermejo and Simón Camacho, two men attibuted with the rise of cigars in Nicaragua. It will be shown off at IPCPR 2019.
