“A very solid cigar. I really enjoyed the distinct flavor of raisins without any sweetness and the thick plume of smoke that this produced, especially in the second third. The construction of the cigar was spot on.” – Kent (Throck)
"This was an excellent cigar, and one I may request before facing execution by a firing squad. Flavors, complexity, and construction are all on point. I believe this is a cigar that will stand up to multiple cigars a day as the flavors are bold and evident. I'll be seeking these out if they are readily available in this exact vitola, no additional aging time is needed. Smoke this cigar after a salty fatty steak and thank me later." -Matt C. (Big Matt)
"This could easily become my go to morning smoke with a cup of coffee. The mild beginning transitioned to some bolder flavors nicely. Each third developed a distinct profile and stayed true. The leather really balanced the char and pepper, with the dark roast coffee at the end being a pleasant surprise." -Gregg (McGreggor57)
"I was really surprised by the changes in flavor profile. The complexity in this cigar really caught me off guard as the dark DARK wrapper told my eyes one thing but my nose and tongue were telling a totally different story. I enjoyed this cigar from start to finish even if the burn was slightly uneven in the beginning. Not too long of a smoke too so you can certainly find the time to squeeze one in." -Paul (pmr1010)
"I loved this cigar, one of the better ones I have reviewed in recent history. Everything from the flavors, transitions and the construction were great. I really liked this corona vitola, and I'm curious what other sizes it is offered in as I wouldn't mind one that lasts longer. I would recommend this to anyone assuming the price is right." -Emmett (rhetorik)
“This is a cigar that I could see myself giving to a novice or a seasoned cigar smoker. The seasoned bloke will enjoy the change in pace of flavors presented on sample 529 and the novice will become introduced into the world of what a premium cigar can offer. This is a cigar that could be smoked and enjoyed after several other offerings as the profile is bold and evident. Construction was top-notch and however many hundred or thousand hands it touched before coming to fruition, it was worth it.” –Matt C. (Big Matt)
“A great smoke in just about every way. I am not normally a fan of anything bigger than 50 RG, and rarely chose to smoke anything toro length or longer, but I would gladly smoke one of these again. The blend was nice, the profile hit a personal sweet spot for me, and the complete lack of a need for maintenance despite my inconsistent smoking over a period of more than an hour and a half, made smoking this cigar a very enjoyable experience.” –Dave W. (mdwest)
"With a lot of cigars I find the cedar to be a bit heavy handed, not so with this one. The transition from a mature cedar to slightly charred then to a young sweeter one was very nice. The addition of hay, grass and leather paired well with the background flavors of nuts, coffee and cocoa. This cigar certainly offered me a very pleasant smoking experience." -Gregg (McGreggor57)
"This cigar is definitely ready to smoke now. I think this blend will have legs too and I will definitely be aging some of these cigars when I find out what it is. This cigar had the perfect balance and its complexity is thru the roof. Kudos to the blender and the team behind this cigar as you made my day, and I’ll be seeking these out no matter the price. " -Matt C. (Big Matt)
