Blind Cigar Review: E.P. Carrillo | Selección Oscuro Especial No. 6

"If you are in to earthy, spicy cigars, that perform well and don't disappoint, then this is a cigar for you. It developed from medium to the high end of medium full throughout that smoking experience on an almost linear level. No abrupt changes in strength or body, and no re-lights or touchups needed. While it did end up a little bitter and spicy at the end, novice smokers should feel no fear with this cigar, as long as it is paired with something to offset the strength at the end, like a nice aged rum. Stout beer would overrun it, as would cask strength scotch or barrel proof bourbon. All in all a great experience that I look forward to trying again!" -Kevin A. (Kevin A.)

Blind Cigar Review: JRE | Aladino Connecticut Robusto

"Nubworthy, buy a box, smoke one every day, what else can I say? This cigar was extremely enjoyable from pre light to nub. The flavor transitions were amazing and the complexity, which is sometimes not a good thing, was 100% on point here. It starts of medium and sweet and finished bold and zesty. Not so sweet that it is hard to pair with a beverage and not so spicy that it wrecks your palate. Well balanced, well blended. These will be a permanent resident in the humidor!" -Kevin A. (Kevin A.)

Blind Cigar Review: Ventura | Cuban Cigar Factory Benji Menendez Robusto

"The final third of this cigar really upped the enjoyment factor. It took it from good to very good in my opinion. I have always been a fan of cigars with many transitions, and this one did not let me down and threw in a completely unexpected and unique flavor, that made the cigar a true star. The strength and body stayed right in the medium range and can be enjoyed by anyone. The flavors would go well with morning coffee as well as a lighter bodied beer that won't overrun it. I am really looking forward to finding out what this cigar is and recommend you try it when the secret is out! " -Kevin A. (Kevin A.)

Blind Cigar Review: Southern Draw | 300 Hands Connecticut Piramides

"This is exactly what I'd look for as a morning cigar or first cigar of the day. I typically smoke stronger cigars from the beginning of the day to the end but this was a nice change of pace for me. I'm really starting to enjoy these more often. I'd give this cigar an overall rating of 89. Flavors were pleasant and not overwhelming or overpowering. Would I smoke this again? Yes. Easily worth buying a fiver. " -Kevin J. (maninblack77)

Blind Cigar Review: Alec & Bradley | Blind Faith Toro

"This was an enjoyable cigar with distinct, easily discernible flavors which fluctuated in their prominence throughout the smoking experience. It was aided by solid construction and a lack of overall boringness. While not presenting itself as anything groundbreaking, I would certainly smoke this cigar again." -Matt Cade (CADE)

Blind Cigar Review: JRE | Aladino Cameroon Robusto

"While definitely a mild to medium bodied cigar, it delivers where it matters. The flavors worked so well together. No really big transitions, but nonetheless it was very enjoyable and I would definitely smoke more of these. I'd give this a score of 'great'. Highly recommended. " -Kevin J. (maninblack77)

"While the cigar’s appearance didn’t impress me at all initially, this was a clear cut case of never judging a book by its cover. The cigar provided a wide array of flavors and transitions and the end result was a highly enjoyable cigar from start to finish. I would definitely smoke it again." -Matt Cade (CadeTNCC)

"Just in terms of flavor this was actually a very good cigar. The smoke output was creamy, the draw was nice if I held it just right, and it burned well even with an almost destroyed wrapper. The size was very large though and with the lack of profile changes did make it a bit one dimensional." -Alan (Eulogy)

Blind Cigar Review: Southern Draw | Cedrus Toro

I liked this cigar quite a bit. While I was initially worried about that strong mesquite woodsiness overpowering any other flavors that might come my way, the cigar managed - and managed well - to balance that with some other flavor notes that made this smoking experience one that I wouldn’t mind at all revisiting." -Matt Cade (CADE)

Blind Cigar Review: La Palina | Classic Natural Toro

"Featuring very little in the way of complexity and with only some minor transitions throughout the smoking experience, I won’t go so far as to say this is a boring cigar. Rather this was a fine cigar featuring fine flavors and fine construction. That’s it, it was just “fine” all around. " -Matt Cade (CADE)
