General Cigar introduced a ton of new things at the show this year, and we are pretty excited about some of them.
This year, we decided to give you a tour of the show through the pictures we took while we were there. Some are of new items, and some are just things we thought were interesting. We will have a new slideshow for each major manufacturer and one big one for the smaller manufacturers.
Pride, perseverance and above all, passion. These are the principles that have guided Partagas for more than 170 years. Today, General Cigar celebrates the venerable brand with a new cigar that honors the heritage of Partagas in blend, box and band.
"After leaving the blocks a little slow this cigar found its stride in the second third and never looked back. It is a refined smoke that will only get better with time. There were a few rough edges earlier on but ultimately the smoking experience was very pleasant. This would a great cigar to start your day with a beverage of the smoker’s choice. The profile is easily approachable for any level of smoker. I would seek it out again once I know what it is." -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi)
General Cigar has announced an upcoming version of it's limited Partagas Decadas blend for 2020, called Partagas Limited Reserve Decadas 2020.

"A decent looking stick, with great pre-light aromas, and lackluster construction and burn. The flavor profile was okay, middle of the road for me, I feel the lightly packed/rolled tobacco caused this stick to burn too quickly, causing off flavors from the high burn temp. I’d smoke it again, but it wouldn’t be my first choice as the flavor profile was pretty straight forward and didn’t have a level of complexity that I am typically accustomed with true premium cigars. While not the bottom of the barrel in the premium world, a noteworthy smoke that you should try!" -John A. (Bostoneo)

·"This is a very enjoyable cigar, especially the first third. If time will turn the second and final thirds to be more like the first, this would be a world-class cigar. Even still, it was really good. I would definitely buy at least 5 of these. I would recommend this to anyone but a novice." -Emmett (BMP_Emmett)
"Overall, this was a solid straight-shooter flavor-wise. Comprised of mostly leather, brown sugar, white & black pepper with some wood notes, this cigar meandered from medium to full body while it burned down. While it didn’t absolutely thrill me, it was an okay cigar that is sure to please somebody!" -John A. (Bostoneo)
This week, Partagas (STG) is shipping the second allotment of their “Añejo.” This cigar is named after the well-aged wrapper tobaccos make up the barber pole look. Beginning October 3, Partagas Añejo is re-releasing the cigar in the smae two original sizes that launched earlier this year. Both vitiolas are 4.5” in length because of the scarcity and fragility of the cigar’s Cameroon wrapper. We reviewed this cigar earlier this year and we gave it a 91 in our blind testing.
