(Miami, FL)- October 8, 2014--One picture, eleven cents: #LA111th. La Aurora turns 111 years old today and wants to celebrate with all the smokers in the world, inviting them to toast with Guillermo and Michelle León in celebration of such a special date. That being a reason to celebrate is also a reason to “give back.” The company has announced a target to collect funds for one of the social programs supported by La Aurora. For every picture received by the brand’s social media, 11 cents will be donated to the Patronato de Lucha contra la Diabetes de Santiago de los Caballeros, a local institution that fights against diabetes disease.

·"I really enjoyed this cigar mainly due to its unexpected complexity. I loved the initial mixture of well-balanced flavors and the enduring construction. The one downside was having to relight in the middle third. I would definitely purchase this cigar in the future for that time when I need that quick smoke." -Kent (Throck)

"Nice enough that I'd likely give it another go. There's always a fair chance that I just got one with some issues." -Myles (MylesT)

·"There wasn't a lot of interest even though the middle third kept me anticipating the next draw. The flavors worked well together but never really seemed to wow me. This would probably be better paired with a flavorful drink." -Gregg (McGreggor57)

·"This was a very enjoyable cigar. It offered a unique flavor profile and quite a bit of transitions that kept things fresh. The fermented flavor was something I'm not sure I ever have tasted in a cigar before and definitely want to smoke more to see if I get the same thing. I'm excited to see what this is." -Emmett (BMP_Emmett)
Last year La Aurora debuted the 115th Anniversary Limited Edition, which we reviewed here. This year they are showing off the regular production version at the IPCPR 2019 convention. The blend uses an Ecuadorian wrapper, Brazilian binder, and Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Brazilian fillers. It comes in four vitolas: Robusto 5x50 ($9.50 MSRP), Toro 5.75x54 ($10 MSRP), Belicoso 6.25x52 ($10.50 MSRP), Gran Toro 6x58 ($11 MSRP). The cigars will ship when IPCPR begins.
