E.P. Carrillo Cigar Company has announced the shipment of the first round of their Platinum Bash cigar. Late last year, the company sent out a sampler to celebrate Ernesto's 70th birthday. In each sampler there was a QR code that allowed customers to select their favorite blend based off the ribbon color on the cigar. These packs were available either at events or through purchasing a box of E.P. Carrillo cigars.

With the establishment of the Cigar Media Association in 2014, the 14 members involved in the association wanted to create an award ceremony where they could honor and celebrate the companies and individuals in the cigar industry. E.P. Carrillo Cigars has announced Allegiance for the PCA Trade Show starting this week, and is the first E.P. Carrillo cigar rolled outside of Tabacalera La Alianza. The new cigar will launch in October and is rolled at the Oliva Cigar Co. factory in Nicaragua.
