“This was a good choice for a morning smoke. The profile had a consistent wood and earthiness to it while coffee, leather, char and toast worked together to provide a nice richness. The addition of some nutmeg at the end created a little spice on the nose.” -Gregg (McGreggor57)
"I personally did not have any problems with this cigar but it never captured my interest or cigar repertoire . The cigar seemed to be infused and the transitions were nil. ·"This is a very good cigar that could be smoked after your son's bar mitzvah or after you knock-out some asshole that drank you beer, I digress. Any cigar guy would enjoy this cigar as rich tobacco is very evident on the exhale and palate. The retro had a touch of sweetness that lingered with the cream and grass. That being said if you sit back and pay attention to this cigar you can pick up the nuances in this blend. This is a classic blend and I wouldn't be surprised if the blender is a descendant of a family rich in tobacco and cigar culture. "Marvelous from start to finish. Maybe I'm feeling charitable, as I'm smoking this on a great nigh, but it's everything you could want in a cigar. Great draw and burn, complex flavors, satisfyingly thick and creamy smoke. I do wish there had been just a touch more pepper involved, to give it a little more character, but that's a personal palate thing.
