“If you are looking for a well constructed Connecticut shade cigar this might be it. This cigar reminded me of a lighter version of the Quesada 40th Corona Clasica. The fruit on the retrohale mixed in with the pepper and cinnamon on the palate and the sweetness in the back of the throat were all very enjoyable. I easily recommend this cigar if your palate yearns for flavors in the mild strength category with body and complexity that hold up and build throughout the whole experience.” –Matt C. (Big Matt)
"Flavors were very consistent, which is a good thing, it didn't burn hot or anything like that at all. Very tasty all the way through, and would say it was a medium, but eventually became a medium-full." -Mickey T. (irratebass)
"This is a very good cigar that could be smoked after your son's bar mitzvah or after you knock-out some asshole that drank you beer, I digress. Any cigar guy would enjoy this cigar as rich tobacco is very evident on the exhale and palate. The retro had a touch of sweetness that lingered with the cream and grass. That being said if you sit back and pay attention to this cigar you can pick up the nuances in this blend. This is a classic blend and I wouldn't be surprised if the blender is a descendant of a family rich in tobacco and cigar culture. If the price is right, this premium cigar offering box-worthy." -Matt C. (Big Matt)
“This is a cigar that is a must have for your humidor. Sit back and relax and this will take you on a journey. It is one for novice and experienced smokers.” –Kevin S. (KBS1153)
“It was full enough to keep me puffing, but mild enough for an adventurous noob to stretch their horizons. I’ve seen one other cigar that looked like this, so maybe I can guess what it is, but I can assure you that I’ll have more of these when the reveal happens!” –Jason H. (Jokey Smurf)
"With a lot of cigars I find the cedar to be a bit heavy handed, not so with this one. The transition from a mature cedar to slightly charred then to a young sweeter one was very nice. The addition of hay, grass and leather paired well with the background flavors of nuts, coffee and cocoa. This cigar certainly offered me a very pleasant smoking experience." -Gregg (McGreggor57)
"The first two thirds showed some promise, although a bit one dimensional. The creamy leather and oak combination was very enjoyable. The final third, however, was my samples unraveling. A harsh cedar and tight draw almost had me tossing this one. Based on other reviewers experiences, this might be a candidate for the golf course." -Gregg (McGreggor57)
"Aside from a couple minor touch-ups, the burn was good throughout. Considering how oily the wrapper was, that was pretty impressive. The ash was somewhat flaky, but it's a lancero so that was expected." -Matthew T. (A Huge Nerd)
“I enjoyed this cigar immensely. It had a great appearance and aroma alongside rock-solid construction and subtle, delicate flavors. This would be a great accompaniment on a hot, summer day.” -Kent (Throck)
