Black Label Trading Company has announced Bishops Blend Novemdiales for select retailers. Novemdiales is rolled at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua. The company is describing it as a "revised iteration" of the original Bishops Blend, by using a Pennsylvania wrapper with other slight revisions. Crowned Heads has announced that their annual Hawaii-exclusive cigar, Paniolo Especiale, will make its return on October 7 at a special VIP Dinner Event hosted by Marvin Chang and R. Field Wine Co. in Honolulu Hawaii.
Drew Estate has announced the “Liga Privada 10 Selección de Mercado,” exclusively for International Markets. The new cigar will be shown off and first available at the Intertabac Show in Dortmund, Germany, beginning on Sept. 14.
"In the best of ways, this smoke had a lot going on! Not only did the abundant lineup of flavors balance and complement each other perfectly, they were nothing but pleasant from start to finish. In addition, a handful of transitions kept my palate intrigued and engaged without making me think too much which always adds to my enjoyment. Rounding out a superb experience was a near-perfect draw, trouble-free burn, and a decent nicotine buzz by the very end. Needless to say, this cigar checked off almost all of the boxes for me and I will certainly be seeking it out once it is revealed. " -Noah S. (Noah)
"Overall it had good flavors through and through. The strength of this cigar was more then I was expecting. The smoke output was a lot. The smoke texture was thick and really stuck to the palate. Musty mineral and rich earthy coffee notes. No sweetness to this smoke. Retrohale was very strong musty black pepper." -Chad M. (Chad Tchad)
Altadis U.S.A. has announced the Trinidad Espiritu No. 3, following the path of the Series 1 and 2. The blend uses a mix of Mexican and Nicaraguan tobaccos and was created by award-winning cigar duo Rafael Nodal and AJ Fernandez.
"Simply put I really enjoyed this cigar. The vitola and profile is the one that I reach for in the humidor. It had some great bold notes to it but still had some sweetness throughout. The strength sneaks up on you towards the end. So make sure you had some food and maybe a Mexican coke nearby." -Quinn (quinnpins269)
"While the flavors weren't mindblowing or unique, they were very enjoyable when judged as a whole. A wide range of flavors including milk chocolate, leather, oaky woodiness, and earth really hit my palate right in the sweet spot. I'd love to smoke this again, perhaps in a smaller vitola to really get the flavors from the wrapper to shine." -Kevin J. (maninblack77)
Maya Selva Cigars has announced the Tasting Experience: a single box containing 10 cigars rolled more than a decade ago and 10 cigars of the same kind rolled last year.
"With a gambit of robust flavors that complimented one another exceptionally as well as a smoke that was creamy, smooth and mouthwatering, the first two thirds is certainly where this cigar shined! Even though the smoke remained incredibly smooth, the flavors flatlined entering the final third which made for a lackluster ending to an otherwise great cigar. Had the pleasant mix of flavors been consistent from start to finish my remarks would certainly have been a bit higher. I have a feeling that a loose roll is the most likely culprit for the sudden downturn as the temperature of the smoke quickly rose and the flavors almost immediately became acrid. I'd gladly give this smoke another shot as I'm sure the loose roll is just a fluke." -Noah S. (Noah)
