This year's HVC Black Friday is a different take on the blend according to brand owner Reinier Lorenzo. This year went without ligero, and instead chose only visos and secos in the filler. Most of them are from the Jalapa region and a few from Esteli. He says the visos are powerful enough to bring a unique body to this blend. The wrapper is a Habano 92 from Ecuador.
After releasing the first cigar produced in their own brand new factory last year, Seleccion No 1., HVC Cigars is now set to release HVC Seleccion No1 in a Natural wrapper version. The HVC Seleccion No 1. Natural is a Nicaraguan puro with binders and fillers from the Esteli and Jalapa regions of Nicaragua. The wrapper is a Habano 92 seed grown in Ecuador. The blend is described as a medium full body cigar. It comes packaged in old school bright yellow box a throwback to owner Reinier Lorenzo's Cuban roots.
"A pleasant medium-body smoke that offered an abundance of sweetness and creaminess. That in my opinion would go nicely with an espresso. I enjoyed smoking this cigar mid-morning and I feel it would be a great addition to my rotation." -Quinn (quinnpins269)

·"This was an interesting cigar. I started out mild/medium and kept ramping up in strength were it even caused a bit of a nicotine buzz. The main flavor component was wood & spice, there was a nice floral and cream on the retro in the beginning then turned to more spice, until the final third which brought heavy cinnamon on the retro very unusual. ·"I really enjoyed this cigar. It had just enough transitions to keep me interested and just kept getting better as I went along. There was a lot of creamy coco, brown sugar, leather, hay, and woodiness notes that all worked together in a really nice way. I would suggest trying one for yourself. " -Jeff (ExpendableYouth)

"Straightforward notes of leather, plum, and black pepper are a good summary of what this cigar offers. It wasn't very exciting, but it wasn't bad either. Solid middle of the road cigar with nothing to really write home to mom about. " -Doug S. (Unpossible_1)
