You get what you pay for here. A unique experience with clean defined flavors that were perfectly well balanced throughout the entirety of the duration of this ultra premium cigar. Complexity is unmatched to any cigar I’ve ever had making this smoke a dream. Construction and draw were phenomenal however this particular sample had some issues with the burn line until the second half where it caught up. Because of the fullness and richness of this medium to medium full bodied smoke, it is not something you’ll reach for (providing you have the available funds) everyday. This cigar is meant for those special occasions when you want something that screams quality in terms of very rich flavor that is defined, unique and unmatched to any other stick. Whilst not my sweet spot for flavor profiles, as it was a tad too sweet for me, this definitely goes into my top echelon of cigars I have ever enjoyed.
I have always enjoyed the idea/premise of the chef's editions. Everyone loves a good cigar pairing be it a pairing with bourbon, whiskey, beer, or even my favorite. Coffee. One thing we do not get a chance to do is pair cigars with food as it's not easily done in today's world. I was excited to see the chef's for this year's edition as it has Masa Takayama on the panel who by all rights is very much a true cigar smoker. You can't google his name without stumbling across him with a cigar. I have had the pleasure of smoking the chef's editions the last few years and this hands down is the best yet.

"Great smoke. Amazing construction which has definitely contributed to the experience. Deep rich leather and nuttiness on bold display here. It's a flavor profile that I enjoyed a lot although there wasn't a lot of transitional stuff going on. I'd be happy to smoke these by the truckload, and I'd nub them every time. " -John I. (John I.)
"Even though the draw was tighter than ideal for the first third and the lineup of flavors doesn't match what I typically reach for when choosing what to smoke, this cigar was immensely enjoyable! I am quite fond of this particular vitola as the change in ring gauge and proportions of binder, filler, and wrapper all but guarantees an interesting progression or transition of flavors that I tend to think of as a story the blender is telling through the leaves. Not only did the profile of flavors build upon one another from start to finish but so did the strength which is always a plus in my book. After a bit of a slow start, this cigar truly shined in the latter two-thirds when the flavors were most balanced, complex, and robust. The smoke was incredibly smooth throughout and the flavors were clearly defined which always makes for a nice experience as I don't have to think too much about what I am smoking. This is exactly the kind of smoke I like when I am deep in a great conversation amongst great friends." -Noah S. (Noah)
This cigar performed like a champ. No touch ups required during the entire experience and I got tons of flavor. I have smoked this cigar in other sizes and hands down the Churchill is my favorite. I do find the Toro to have a bit more pepper but overall I can smoke these over and over. Recommend this cigar to anyone.

This cigar really surprised me with the flavors going on. It started out with wintergreen mixed with cinnamon then it transitioned into wood, chocolate and finally honey. The burn and construction were both excellent, I mean c’mon it’s Davidoff you pay for what you get. This was a very good smoke if you have the money and feel like treating yourself I highly recommend it.

"This was one of those smokes that comes along every so often- actually it’s pretty rare for me anyway, that just captivates your senses. The ol’ “Calgon take me away” commercial ran through my mind as a comparison… It was a phenomenal smoke, one that I hope, hope, hope I get to experience again and again. I pray that this stogie is one that fits my meager stogie budget because I gotta have some more of these. It was a little over an hour of peace & serenity and I loved every minute of it!" -Robert (NavyPiper)
"This was the loss of sweetness in the final third away from being my favorite thing I have smoked for BMP. Looks great, smokes great, and tastes great. I’d be interested in smoking this in a Robusto if available, because while I liked everything about the flavor experience - I’d have preferred a bit shorter smoking time. " -Bill C. (Bill)

"You ever anticipate smoking a cigar, and when you finally get the chance to smoke it it just meets all your expectations? Well that was this cigar for me. I smoked, and performed beautifully. It was exactly what I needed at the time. the cigar was very smooth, and elegant. There was lots of cream, some cinnamon and citrus flavors to hold my attention. I want, no NEED more of these. " -Mickey T. (irratebass)
"The opening earthiness was slightly boring but once it warmed up this was a blend I would return to often. The heavy cinnamon spice flavor, a sweet buttery toast, and just the slight kick of pepper at the end made a cigar I look forward to finding out what it is." -Lauren S. (Lauren S.)
