PINELLAS PARK, FL (JUNE 19, 2017) –– Camacho, the world’s leading brand of bold cigars, is proud to introduce the new 2017 Camacho Liberty, celebrating “Fifteen Years Strong” for the long-standing special edition series. The Camacho Liberty, starting with its inaugural release back in 2002, has become a staple each year for collectors and aficionados of bold, full-frontal cigars. Since its inception, this yearly special edition has launched just ahead of the 4th of July holiday and is a celebratory smoke built to honor the birth of the United States. The crafting of each Liberty cigar begins 12 months before the tobacco hits the rolling table, with the final selection drawn from the best concept blends developed over that previous year. The cigars are then rolled and left to sit for more than 6 months.
Davidoff has announced the re-introduction of the Robusto Real Especiales 7, a cigar that was originally released in 2004 comprised of 7 different tobaccos.
I imagine this is what a fresh Cuban Davidoff would have tasted like back in the 80's. I've been fortunate to have one that was almost 30 years old, so I know the profile, but in those 30 years, some strength is lost. I appreciated the Davidoff Nicaragua for it's Nicaraguan take on the classic Davidoff profile and it's perfectly balanced flavors. I appreciated the Escurio for how unique and different it was. But this, is something completely different. This is a truly full flavored cigar that teeters in medium-full strength and has such a great classic profile. This is a game changer, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I liked this cigar even better than the Box-Pressed Nicaragua.

·"This was one of those smokes that comes along every so often- actually it’s pretty rare for me anyway, that just captivates your senses. The ol’ “Calgon take me away” commercial ran through my mind as a comparison… It was a phenomenal smoke, one that I hope, hope, hope I get to experience again and again. I pray that this stogie is one that fits my meager stogie budget because I gotta have some more of these. It was a little over an hour of peace & serenity and I loved every minute of it!" -Robert (NavyPiper)

·This cigar really surprised me with the flavors going on. It started out with wintergreen mixed with cinnamon then it transitioned into wood, chocolate and finally honey. The burn and construction were both excellent, I mean c’mon it’s Davidoff you pay for what you get. This was a very good smoke if you have the money and feel like treating yourself I highly recommend it.

In an industry farewell of sorts, Matt Booth, owner of the Room101 series of cigar brands, told Cigar Aficionado that he's leaving the cigar business, severing ties with Davidoff of Geneva, the Swiss cigar corporation that distributed his cigar lines for nearly eight years. Now, the brands are in his hands and he's not quite sure what's going to happen next. One thing Booth is sure of is that he's taking a hiatus from the cigar industry to focus more on his jewelry business (also called Room101). As of now, he says he doesn't know if—or when—he'll return to the world of cigars.
Perhaps the most exciting thing about this booth was the presence of Matt Booth, which signified not only his return to the cigar industry, but that he was collaborating with none other than Robert Caldwell and AJ Fernandez to make some new cigars.
