"This cigar started very mild and while I was hoping for some change, it remained mild and pretty flavorless throughout. While the cigar's appearance, draw, and construction is very good overall, it lacked in flavor and depth. I do not think I would recommend this cigar." -David F. (David F.)
"If you were a pepper fiend this is the cigar for you! For a light to medium profile it was an easy smoker that did not go bitter at all. I would've liked to see other flavors rear their head however the intense pepper throughout the smoke prevented that. This would be a great cigar for kicking around or enjoying after one or two good sticks." -John A. (John A.)
"For the most part this was a nice cigar. It had some personality. The wood and nutmeg flavors were nicely balanced for most of the time. There was a bit if hickory in the final third but not for long. The smoke provided a nice smell of camp fire and the flavors left in the mouth were very nice. While it did start of mellow, it slowly became bold towards the end. The final moments did produce the bitter flavors you would experience at the end of most cigars. Overall this would pair nicely with a single malt or even a mixed drink while sitting by a camp fire." -Eric (smalls29)
A.J. Fernandez’s has taken over another Cuban brand, this time it's from General Cigar. He’s now producing new versions of Ramon Allones in Nicaragua.
"This was an excellent cigar that I would be happy to stock in my humidor. The flavor profiles intermingled very well throughout the whole smoke. As I smoke this cigar further and further down the flavors just got more pronounced and delicious, great job!" -John A. (John A.)
