"This brown beauty ended up being a very pleasant and enjoyable smoke on all levels. The retrohale was nice and smooth with just the right amount of zing without offending the nasal passages. I would smoke this cigar again." -Randy B. (randobush)

Today, Crowned Heads released details of their upcoming seventh annual release of their Las Calaveras line: Las Calaveras EL 2020. The line debuted in 2014 as a tribute to those who passed away the previous year and to celebrate life and memories, as opposed to a mournful symbol of sadness and death. Each year the line pays tribute to 4 specific people who passed the previous year with a set of initials on each of four coins on the band.
"This was a very enjoyable cigar based upon flavor and performance. My only complaint is the flavors becoming somewhat muted during the middle portion. I would highly recommend this to any smoker who enjoys bold flavors and has a bit of time to dedicate to the experience. I’d love to pick up a five-pack of these for future enjoyment." -Jason H. "Overall, this was a VERY consistent flavored stick throughout the entire experience. Omnipresent notes of leather exist the whole time, which minor deviations throughout, most notably the nutty presence at the end, which was yum. Burn and construction were spots on the entire time without any flaws at all while the draw slightly learned on the loose side. Not a bad stick, one of the better ones I’ve had lately, however, it didn’t overly impress me and was a slightly better for an average cigar on the market today." -John A. (Bostoneo)

·"As ugly as this cigar was, it goes to show that you can't judge a book by the cover. The flavors were so good. There was complexity, and yet consistent notes that pulled everything together. I would gladly reach for this cigar again. " -Matthew T. (A Huge Nerd)
"I was sold from from first puff. Love a good closed foot that gives a quick reveal of the wrapper flavor at first light. This cigar has nice and subtle transitions. It does change, but not much. Thoroughly enjoyable smoke. Maintained a solid finish throughout that left me enjoying the flavors until the next draw. I’d pick this cigar up again." -Randy B. (randobush)
I was prepared to write this cigar off a average based on the first third, but thing really came around in the second and final thirds. The addition of baking spices, pepper, and nuts really set things off. I don’t know if the $50 price tag is justified but this is a really good cigar. It is for sure up there with some of the previous limited edition My Father cigars. I wish I knew what a few months or a year of age would do to this cigar would do but unfortunately I doubt I will ever find out. I was lucky enough to find one of these and this was my only one. If you are able to find one to purchase, do it. I really enjoyed the full transition of flavors and body from the first to the final third and would recommend this to anyone.
"This was a good cigar. The sweetness and mellowness at the beginning made for a great start and the cigar developed nicely into a medium-full well well-flavored smoking experience. This is a cigar that I would be proud to have in my humidor." -Kevin A. (Kevin A.)
