·"I'm curious to see the reveal on this stick. While I would have really liked to have seen some more complexity and changes in profile in such a long smoke, the flavors were very nice and it was a pretty low maintenance stick. Assuming the price is right, it might make a nice "daily" smoker." -Dave (mdwest)
Emilio Cigars (under the Oveja Negra Brands) will be showing off a new line at this year’s PCA trade show in Las Vegas: Suave Maduro. This will be a regular production cigar and should start shipping later in the summer. Black Label Trading company took over the blends and branding for Emilio cigars three years ago and the first release after the rebranding was an updated Emilio Suave line.
As of today, Black Label Trading Company (BLTC) is taking over the branding and marketing of Emilio Cigars. Going forward, all cigar production will move to BLTC’s factory, Fabrica Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua. A lot of the Emilio lines are already rolled there including Cavatina, LJZ, Papa Joe and Grimalkin. Scott Zucca, owner of Emilio Cigars, will continue to be involved and will distribute cigars for both companies through his distribution company L.J. Zucca Inc.
Boutiques Unified will now be known as Oveja Negra Brands. The company now contains the following brands: Black Label Trading Company, Black Works Studio, Emilio Cigars, and Dissident. Each of the brands has its own identity but shares talent and resources to increase efficiency.

·"I really enjoyed the richness of the coffee and oak during the first third and wished they would have held on a little more. The final two thirds gradually ramped the fullness down and transformed the smoke into a milder sweeter profile. I'm glad I grabbed this one for a morning cigar." -Gregg (McGreggor57)

·"Although I've got nothing bad to say about this cigar, it just didn't do much for me. Even in mild sticks, I like more complexity and richness in the smoke texture. This didn't have much of it. Probably not a bad smoke for someone new to cigars or someone that likes mild, light bodied cigars. Not really for me though. I'll pass on smoking another." -Brian (B-daddy)

·Each of our panelists were given 10 votes to towards our Top 25 Cigars of the Year - 2018. As with previous years, the order of their votes mattered as their #1 vote is worth twice as much as their #10. Our list is made up of cigars that had a wide release this year. The cigars that are eligible do not have to have been reviewed on Blind Man's Puff, but the reviewer must have smoke it at some point to vote for it.

·"This cigar was mediocre in my opinion. There was not much complexity. Smooth notes of spice and hay were the cornerstones, but the char crept in and took over through the second and final third of the cigar. A little age might do this cigar some good, so do not give up entirely on this stick. It might grow into something very good." -Steve (ThaGreatWazoo)
Emilio Cigars has announced the release of the Grimalkin Seasonal Edition. The cigars are produced at Fabrica Oveja Negra, in Esteli, Nicaragua. Grimalkin Seasonal is being released in time to enjoy for Halloween and fall festivities.
