Cigar News: Gurkha Introduces Lounge Exclusive Cigar

Gurkha Cigars have announced a cigar that will exclusively be made for Gurkha Lounges and for retailers with more than 25 Gurkha facings. This new Lounge Exclusive will be available with a Maduro or Habano wrapper.  The cigar will be made available to the seven exclusive Gurkha Lounges and any retailers that carry more than 25 Gurkha facings and that are not within a 25-mile radius of the official Gurkha lounges.

Cigar News: Crowned Heads Paniolo Especiale 2018 Soon to Release

The 2018 Paniolo Especial is being produced at My Father Cigars S.A. in Esteli, Nicaragua.  It is a 5.5 x 48 Super Corona, a vitola that was inspired by the Bolivar Super Coronas EL 2014 (Cuba).  The Paniolo Especial 2018 features binder and filler leaves from Nicaragua and a San Andres wrapper leaf from Mexico.  The cigar will be priced at $8.90 per cigar and available in 12-count boxes.  Production is limited to 500 boxes, total.

"This was just a beautiful cigar to look at and even hold in my hand. Looks alone this cigar would be killer. Unfortunately I had some draw issues on this one. Normally I would have taken the draw poker to it but since it was a review I wanted to smoke it as is. I did enjoy the flavors I got throughout they were just very muted and in the end became bitter. Full disclosure... I have been a member of Cigar Dojo for a few years now. As a result of my time on the Dojo app, I have made some great friends and learned a lot about this hobby that we all love so much. When the original Sarsaparilla cigar was released in the Fall of 2014, I was excited to try it because I was already a big fan of the cigars coming out of the La Zona factory from Erik Espinosa. The original Sarsaparilla cigar proved to be another winner, and I still consider that to be one of the best cigars to have ever been crafted at La Zona.
