"This smoke didn't feature a rollercoaster of transitions or over-the-top complexity and in my opinion, those qualities are certainly not prerequisites of an incredible cigar. Rather, I tend to put a premium on a stick that intrigues my palate with abundant flavors that are not only smooth but also balanced enough to keep my attention. This cigar accomplished all of that and more while maintaining similar flavor profiles from start to finish. What stood out for me the most was how smooth the smoke was from the first puff to the last which ultimately led to the incredible smoking experience. Simply put, this is just another banger that I can't wait to add to my collection!" -Noah S. (Noah)

·"This was a very good cigar. I was greeted with a sweetness after the fist inch or so and it did not let up. Later as the cigar progressed I was treated with a celery type of flavor that started at first on the retro, but soon switched to covering my entire palate... so that mix of vegetal and sweetness was the cat's meow. The strength stayed at a medium the entire smoking time. Very curious to see what this was." -Mickey T. (irratebass)
Cohiba is adding their first regular production cigar for the first time since 2020 in the form of the Cohiba Riviera. The cigar is a six-region blend that features the Central American tobacco and is named after the lush San Andrés Tuxtla Valley that bore the cigar’s wrapper.
Macanudo Gold Label is an annual release for General Cigar, and 2023 is no different, this time with a limited edition size available this year only. The 2023 Macanudo Gold Label will ship to retailers between May 1 and July 31, 2023 or until this year’s allotment has been depleted. It will come in 8 sizes, including the “Golden Nugget” which is a new, limited edition created exclusively for 2023.
Aganorsa Leaf has announced a brand new cigar, and a sequel to their successful 2021 Rare Leaf Reserve, Rare Leaf Reserve Maduro. This new cigar is exclusive to their Aganorsa Select Program members. Like the original Rare Leaf release, the company says the maduro uses select lots on their best farms that produce exemplary leaf unique in both flavor and aroma. They also claim this is the boldest cigar in the Aganorsa portfolio to date. The blend uses a San Andres Maduro wrapper, double binder, and fillers consisting entirely of Aganorsa grown tobaccos from Jalapa and Estelí.
Punch has announced their latest limited-edition cigar just in time for father's day, Dad Bod. The term, of course, coming from the physique some men of a certain age and place in life. The cigar itself reselmles a bit of a pair shaped figure you may notice. It comes in cans of 5 cigars that include Boveda humidification. The company encourages consumers to reuse the can as humidor, a portable ashtray or decoration.
Sanchez y Haya rolled the first cigar in Tampa, Florida exactly 100 years ago this week. This was the first in a long line of cigars to be made in Tampa causing it to be known as “Cigar City” and the “Fine Cigar Capital of the World.” In celebration of this anniversary, J.C. Newman has recreated the original Sanchez y Haya cigars and reintroduced them at a celebration at Hotel Haya in Ybor City. Hotel Haya is located on the site of the original Sanchez y Haya cigar factory in Tampa’s Ybor City historic cigar district.
Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust and Cigar Dojo are collaborating on a new Japanese-Themed Sobremesa Cigar. This marks the first time the two companies have collaborated on a cigar. The cigar is the Sobremesa Brûlée “Wagashi” 和菓子, a slightly tweaked version of the original Sobremesa Brûlée blue, Japanese-inspired twist. The name comes from a dessert delicacy of Japan that rose to cultural import during the Edo Period (1603-1857).
