Altadis U.S.A. has announced a new cigar in the H. Upmann The Banker line that hasn't seen an update in a few years. H. Upmann The Banker Daytrader was inspired by the modern world of banking. The cigar is scheduled to hit shelves on Tax Day, the brand is coining the collection of three vitolas as “a new money release.”
Fratello Cigars has announced a brand new offshoot of their Fratello Camo line, Fratello Camo Nicaragua. The Camo Nicaragua will be released in a Habano, Maduro, Connecticut, and a Connecticut Sweet tip. The Camo Nicaragua was shown off at Tobacco Plus Expo 2023.
Black Label Trading Company is moving its Santa Muerte line from a limited edition to a regular production, and showed them off at TPE 2023 in Las Vegas. Like all BLTC products, Santa Muerte is rolled at James Brown's Fabrica Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua.

That being said, the open draw and feint ending were a bit of a downer for me. Alec Bradley Cigar Co., recently acquired by STG, showed off a new vitola at TPE 2023, the Limited Edition Alec & Bradley Gatekeeper Diamond Press. Only 1500 boxes of the new size were produced. Each diamond-shaped box, painted in black and gold, will hold sixteen, 6 ¼” x 54 ring-gauge, Gatekeeper Diamond Press cigars.

Luciano Cigars showed off a brand new cigar line, Foreign Affair, at the TPE trade show in Las Vegas. The company says this new cigar is an ode to the globalization of the cigar industry and its smokers, to the capacity we have of connecting with one another by experiencing a great cigar together.
Altadis U.S.A. has announced the H. Upmann 1844 Special Edition Barbier, a new premium cigar that pays homage to the innovative craftsmanship and a favorite pastime of the brand’s founding brothers nearly 180 years after the brand came to life. Barbier is German for “Barber” and is a reference to the two Ecuadorian wrappers, Connecticut and Sumatra, used in the blend to form a barber pole cigar. The rest of the blend uses a Java binder and Nicaraguan, Dominican and Broadleaf fillers. The cigars are rolled at Tabacalera de Garcia in La Romana, Dominican Republic.
Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG), the parent company of General Cigar, Forged Cigar Company, and Cigars International, announced today that the company has agreed to acquire the Alec Bradley cigar business. The transaction is expected to close on or about February 28, 2023.
