Omar de Frias announced today its latest blend, Navetta Inverso Boxer. This is the third line in the Navetta series. The first was the original Navetta, which translates to shuttle in Spanish, in 2017. It used an oscuro wrapper. Next came the Navettal Inverso, which used the same tobaccos, but in reverse order, so the tobacco previously used for the wrapper and binder were now the filler, and the filler were now the binder and wrapper. Now the Navetta Inverso Boxer is that blend tweaked a bit a made in their signature 6 ¼ x 52 Box Press Torpedo. It carries an MSRP of $13.00 per cigar. It will be shown off at this years IPCPR convention.

ACID Mega is a Kuba Kuba under a different name for international markets. It comes in a 5 x 54 robusto vitola that uses a Sumatra wrapper with binder and filler from Nicaragua and sells for 7,90€ /cigar. ACID Blonde is a 4 x 38 that uses a Connecticut wrapper with NIcaraguan binder and fillers and sells for 4,50€/cigar. Both lines ship in July.
I had high expectations going into this cigar with it being the 115th anniversary and all the hype over the last year. I have to say it did not disappoint as I enjoyed the flavor profile from beginning to end. I had to touch up the burn once or twice but overall it performed outstandingly. While the cigar is on the pricey side I would happily light up another given the chance. Highly recommend this cigar.
Today, Black Label Trading Company announced the sixth annual release of its MORPHINE line. Morphone is rolled at James Brown's Fabrica Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua. The brand is inspired by the Jamaica’s musicians and created by Nick Melillo's love for Jamaican tobacco and their culture. These new designs for the Upsetters were done by Foundation's in-house creative laboratory, The ATOL Collective and were inspired by Jamaican album covers from the 1960's.
