"Overall, it was an okay smoke, no frills for me at least. If you like earthy notes with some pepper and char, this will be right up your alley. Little gave in way of sweetness save the grassy notes in the beginning that quickly faded halfway through. Draw issues with it being too tightly rolled made smoking it at times a chore, however all in all, eh, try it… you might like it, you might not, you be the judge…" -John A. (Bostoneo)

Last year, Fratello Cigars and Omar de Frias released two new blends, Sorella vs Arlequin, as a part of their "Space Fresh Packs" sampler. The idea was to get market feedback and see which blend customers preferred. Back in June, the company announced that they were releasing Arlequin to the U.S. market, as that was the blend they preferred. It turns out everyone outside the U.S. preferred Sorella. So now, they are increasing that cigar to international markets.

Micallef Cigars has announced a new cigar, the Micallef "A" that honors the Micallef Ambassadors. The name was picked by the Ambassadors after they got to smoked it in a limited release celebrating the one-year anniversary of the Micallef Ambassador community. The cigar sold out in 36 hours and was referred to as the "TBN" or "To be Named".
Altadis U.S.A. is bringing back a line from Aging Room, Oliveros Gran Retorno. Oliveros Gran Retorno is a small batch production that undergoes a unique aging process. The blend uses extra aged tobacco that has been aging in traditional bales for 24 months, then they rested in “reposado” in the factory Cedar Room for six months, and then the cigars themselves have been aged for at least 33 months after rolling.
"While I wasn't all that impressed with this cigar at the beginning it really came to life in the second third. Once that happened I was really into the cigar. The transition into the second third came rapidly, and I'm sure my expression and happiness at that time was visible to anyone around. Even thirty minutes after smoking this cigar, the remains were still felt and tasted on my lips, and I was pretty darn close to heaven. This is something I can easily place into my rotation. And man does it burn for a long time." -Isaac M. (The Nothing)
"Featuring very little in the way of complexity and with only some minor transitions throughout the smoking experience, I won’t go so far as to say this is a boring cigar. Rather this was a fine cigar featuring fine flavors and fine construction. That’s it, it was just “fine” all around. " -Matt Cade (CADE)
General Cigar announced today a new cigar for the Diesel brand: Diesel "Estelí Puro." This is a new regular production line made by AJ Fernamdez.
ACE Prime and Crowned Heads announced a line extension to the Pichardo brand today, Pichardo Maduro. This follows last year's Pichardo Reserva Familiar and Pichardo Clasico.
Espinosa Premium Cigars has announced a new exclusive cigar for Binny’s Beverage Depot called “The Expo." This is part of Binny’s “Four Star Society” series, which
gets its name from the City of Chicago’s flag that features four stars across it.
