Altadis U.S.A. announced today a new cigar honoring the H. Upmann brand's founder Herman Upmann. The new cigar is called H. Upmann Herman’s Batch. This new cigar ships late November.

Casdagli has announced a new cigar, exclusive to Small Batch Cigars: Daughters of the Wind Pony Express. The Daughters of the Wind line was launched this year at IPCPR and new gets its first line extrusion. The name is a reference to the fast shipping and service provided by Small Batch.
Aganorsa Leaf has announced a partnership and new exclusive cigar for J&J Spirits, the company behind Single Cask Nation Whisky. This new cigar, simply called Single Cask Nation, is a rye cask aged premium cigar that comes in one size: a robusto in size measuring 5 1/4” x 50. The blend uses a Habano Ecuador wrapper and Nicaraguan filler and binder.

I think if there was just a bit more dynamic flavor profile changes it would have put it over the top. Ventura Cigar Company has restructured its national sales organization including some layoffs. The company cites preparation of new FDA regulations expected to hit in coming months. The company said in a press release that Kretek International, parent company of Venura Cigars, remains strong and profitable. Exact numbers of layoffs were not given, but other media outlets have reported the number going from 9 to 3.
Originally released back in 2015, this limited edition version of Drew Estate's Herrera Esteli Norteño blend is returning this year. The Herrera Esteli Norteño Edicion Limitada Churchill will return to Drew Diplomat retailers nationwide.

The first event-only Foundation cigar, Menelik, became a national release earlier this year. Now, to replace that comes The Grasshopper. Like the original Menelik, The Grasshopper comes in packs of 5 cigars. However, the cigars in the pack are different blends, two with a San Andres Mexican wrapper, two with Candela wrapper, and one cigar with a barber pole of San Andres and Candela. The internals of the cigars is all the same using a Corojo binder from Jalapa, Nicaragua fillers from Esteli, Condega, and Jalapa Nicaragua. Each cigar measure 5 1/4 x 52.
Today, Villiger announced a line extensions to their Villiger Cuellar series, which currently includes the Connecticut Krēmē. This new extension is called Cuellar Black Forest. Villiger Cuellar Black Forest is made in the Dominican Republic. The blend uses a dark maduro wrapper inspired by the real Black Forest in southern Germany, near to the border of Switzerland where the Villiger headquarters is located. The rest of the blend uses Dominican binder and fillers. Henrich Villiger and Villiger Cuellar Black Forest is described as a medium to full-bodied, full-flavored cigar. It is rolled at Tabacalera La Palma in the Dominican Republic and blended by Master Blender Jochy Blanco. The packaging of the Villiger Cuellar Black Forest resembles the aura of the Black Forest.
